Just curious if they actually got nerfed or not. I honestly can’t tell. I keep getting consistently hit for 2 mil earth shocks and I’m about to quit the game because of it. Insane that they have been broken for over a month and they are still one shotting people from 60% to 0% in under a global. Just vs’d an ele that didn’t use wind shear the entire match and is just 1 shotting people in the opener of the game at 2.1k mmr in shuffle.

If they one shot in the opener anyway, pressing wind shear would be pointless. Why waste the global when you can just kill them?

Use cds before the damage goes out, pretty telegraphed sequence.
Ele did get a nerf, but they still pump. However, it’s really obvious when they’re about to do it. So, Idk? Line it.

Me and my teammates only die to any ascendance when I disrespect it or it’s high dampening, never in the opener if we aren’t trolling

If they did they’re still insane. Faced one yesterday in shuffle and he cranked out 1m dps in his opener every single round and the crazy thing is he didnt cast a thing. It was all instant

DPS shamans’ entire shtick is they have 10 seconds of glory then they’re target dummies with some CC
legitimately just press your buttons to survive the opener and trade CDs or yeah, actually line it. Why aren’t you near a pillar if you know ascendance is off CD?

This feels like newbies complaining about polymorph being spammable.
Eles are a non issue after a certain skill level because its not hard to deal with if you bother to do a bit of research.
Ele recent rework changed them from constant pressure class to cooldown based around Ascendance). Similar total damage but different damage profile.
So now dealing with an ele shaman is about dealing with Ascendance which is 3mins. Can be talented into 2mins but few ppl do it, its choice node is shared with making it a stronger CD. In any case it doesnt matter, just save a CC for when that happens and then just line it.
You track Ascendance just like you would track other CD based classes and then just cc the shaman, stun or whatever when they pop ascendance. Unlike other CD dependant casters, they cant do much out of their cooldowns since they cant spam their CC like locks, mages, boomies do.
Just dont fall for the Ascendance proc (similar to how you treated rets in the big wings vs small wings). Or you know what, just also CC the proc. Ele pressure out of its ascendance window isnt high, mid tier at best.
