Did Blizz give up on mount equipment?

The change already happened. It’s not changing back. Get over it.

Seems like the real fix there was to NOT screw over the water striders and just add more WWing mounts.
Such as…oh…I dont know…let me see…hmmmmmmm…oh…I know…a flipping BOAT mount that DIDNT even WW when it was released and is now for sale for $25 in the game store.

Really have a hard time believing that instead of making that mount have WWing their best option was to make ALL mounts a laughing stock joke as the Equipment has done.

I was always over it, I am glad it happened.

Maybe you need to get over the fact that beating a dead horse for ages is how changes actually happen here.

Something was done, you could do the quests like everyone else did. OR you had the option to do MoP timewalking on 3-4 characters ONCE to buy rep tokens to get the mount. Please don’t act like you didn’t have an option.

Not all of us are interested in playing this game like its a full time job, Blizzard can see this so they make it accessible to everyone.

3 timewalking dungeons takes like an hour. You don’t have an hour in a week to play WoW?

Why does it bother you that other players are able to have equal things? It shouldn’t hurt your gameplay at all, if anything you should be happy that the masses are appeased and happy.

No, beating a dead horse does not create change. It gets ignored.

If you’re glad that the water strider is gone, then quit posting about it.

Tell that to the people who posted for years about the AH, to the people who complained since beta about Azerite armor, to people who complained about catch-up mechanics not being good enough, to people who didn’t like tier, to people who wanted to be able to play both factions on the same server, to people who wanted to play an official Classic server.

Let me know if you need me to keep going.

Kicking a dead horse does, in fact, make changes.

This is exactly why they did this. They want to remove water walking entirely. They’ll either remove the ability for old equipment to work or they’ll simply remove the system entirely at a later date and never restore water walking to the bug.

I called this one the instant I heard about the mount equipment. I’m sure I’ll have to wait a little to see it, but I don’t doubt I’ll be right.

It was a horrible idea to begin with. I wouldn’t mind if they just pulled it out entirely.

What does this even mean? Does it bother you that a Doctor makes more money than a McDonalds employee? The world doesn’t work like that. Do you want Blizzard to just mail all the best gear/mounts/transmog to people when they log in so they don’t have to play at all?

I honestly forgot mount equipment was even a thing until just now.

This is a video game. Maybe you should start treating it as such and try and have some fun with it. If you’re having to try and equate World of Warcraft to doctors verses McDonalds employees then we have an issue.

I have fun with rewarding content. Setting and achieving goals is one of the main draws of an MMORPG. If we all just got mailed the best gear/mounts/transmog there would be absolutely no reason to play.

Set your own personal goals and stop worrying about what Tom, Dick, and Harry has. We all play for different reasons, Blizzard can’t make everyone happy.

Mount equipment is a lot less relevant for flying mounts. Come next August (or so), chances are you will care about it again.

Working as intended. If you have alts it’s a real pain to send the water walking scroll each time.

Mount Equipment could be a great addition to the game, but the system as is… well, it’s garbage.

Would be cool, for example, if they stopped spraying 30 mounts at us every patch, and instead doubled down on customizable mounts going forward. Give us few mounts in new content, but design the mount models to display gear and trophies, allow for color swaps, etc. Could introduce animal barding, banners, saddles, “horseshoes” with unique effects, and so on.
