Blizzard acknowledge some months ago (I believe after the Love is in the Air event) that having legions of alts to try and get mounts was “not fun”.
We just had the Oktoberfest event. For me it was ~260 mount attempts for no Ram (but 5 Kodos). Not fun.
And here we are with Hallow’s Eve starting today. 14 days, 21 toons, 294 attempts incoming. Wowhead states the drop rate at 0.4% so not guaranteed.
Any chance this or similar events will become less “not fun”?
funny because that’s like half of mount farming in a nutshell. i mean yeah, the love rocket is the most extreme example but here I am killing sha of anger oondasta and rukhmar 25 times a week on my army of alts.
they really just need to do away with sub 1% mount drops.

They could do tokens for all event mount drops… There was a blue post saying they didn’t find that grinding the love is in the air event mount and they would make changes.
That guy is crazy.
I’m not sure what they were thinking with the love rocket but it might’ve just been a typo like the mop world bosses.

Your # of attempts tells Blizzard a different story than your mouth does. That = no change.

Seasonal mounts are an extreme example, but I actually think the rare mount drops are generally a good thing, it gives me something to hunt for each week. I just don’t go to the extreme of running it on all of my alts every week, that’s what would make it unfun for me.
I used to think this too, but then I realized that I was basically wasting my time on a chance for something that I’d probably not really use. 
Now, I can’t farm anything seriously anymore because I feel guilty about spending too much time on something so unimportant.
Is this your first time seeing stuff like that? You haven’t even see how deep the rabbit hole can go for some people and farming for things.
I don’t use most of them either, most mounts are little more than a tally towards the next collection achievement for a mount that is also just a tally towards the next…

its not unusual. i kill sha 65 times a week across all my alts, plus coin rolls. i know people who do it up to 100 times a week.
Obviously since you have more than 50 are you grouping alts for kills to do it in parallel or just straight up one after another? And are you doing this on 2nd/3rd accounts while you can play on main?
That’s pretty nuts. I’ll happily stick to doing Nalak/Oondasta on 15 alts, lol. (I have Galleon and Sha).
