Diablo Immortal is Game of the Year

I’ve never seen a game that finessed so many people out of their paycheck as well as this game, it’s truly a masterpiece.

They not only managed to get paid from the Whales who will buy into any Hype game, they managed to get paid from clueless gamer dads, gambling addicted children and your average low intelligence blue collar worker who has the brain capacity of a walnut.

They hit every demographic a Casino wants to hit.

On top of ALL the money they’re making, they will announce in a week or two:

“Hey guys, we’re sorry about the P2W. We reduced 100k to hit max gear down to 2k. That should help everyone”

This will then get all of those before mentioned groups to spend even more money because they managed to trick the idiots into overvaluing a trash product from 100k to 2k.

It’s genius honestly, whoever made Diablo Immortal should be given a raise and quite frankly the gaming community deserves to lose their money to a game like this.

It’s good they released it in USA because we have the most corrupt law makers who won’t even pass gun control despite kids dying daily to shootings, so there’s no chance in hell they’ll ever ban lootboxes here unlike EU countries so they can forever just leech money off of addicts.

10/10 move by Blizzard, easily Game of the Year contender.

Nah, 40k, and it won’t be permanent. They’ll call it a 60% discount FLASH sale!

Of course, people will not see 40k. They will make 10000 purchases of 4 dollars.

Can’t wait till they add in advertisements built in and you have to pay $15 a month to get rid of them.

Only 15 a month? These cash cows are going to be ADDICTED by then! Let’s rake in triple! :money_mouth_face:

$15 / month will only remove a SINGLE ad, but $30 / month? Now you can remove DOUBLE ads.

There will still be a 3rd Ad, but hey they need to recover the cost of making this Triple A title right?

I’m promoting you to CFO businessgnome. Well done!

We’re going to make so much money!! :yen::moneybag::dollar: too bad for the gaming industry, though. It’s sad that it took us THIS LONG to figure out we can just gouge our addicted players!

Yeah when I saw it as P2W I gave it a hard pass. Gurantee arclight is going to be the same way. Sad that their turning to loot boxes and gambling, over making an actual fun game to play and progress with.

Along with as soon as they said it was going to be on phones, I knew there would be loot boxes.

Gaming industry? More like the Paying industry cause we bout to get PAIIIIIIIDDDDDDD.

Did you get an invite to Bobby Kotick’s Yacht Party yet to celebrate the success of Immortal?

The sad part is USA is so screwed, they haven’t even solved basic issues and by the time they get around to even discussing loot boxes or banning them it’s going to be too late.

I love Diablo.

I leave this thread even more depressed than I was previously about the state of the game.

Womp womp.

Please don’t give us a monetized D4 :frowning: Gawww.

I’ve seen a lot of people say this:

“I haven’t spent a single cent and i’m F2P and having a good time, the P2W doesn’t bother me”

They’re most likely Blizzard paid bots if we’re going to be real, but the Copium is def nice if you wanna fall into a Diablo echo chamber.

Sounds like you don’t play many mobile games.

And you would be right!

Then stick to regular Diablo like the rest of us who don’t play mobile games, because your outrage isn’t worth the time when this isn’t anything new. Most mobile games are like this. Immortal isn’t any different. News at 11.

Found Bobby Kotick’s burner account.

Agrees with how mobile games are just money making schemes… advises to not play said game because of it…

somehow gets called a shill.

Do you have any logical brain power?

I want to argue and say it is, but you are correct. Blizzard lost all the respect people had for them awhile ago.

It is abundantly clear they care for nothing more than $$$ now.

It’s a real shame, isn’t it? There are obviously some genuinely talented developers that worked on this game, and the company tainted it with this vile monetization model. I legitimately feel bad for the people that worked their butts off to make the game only to have that work turned into a soulless cash grab.

On the plus side, I am playing for free until the paywall hits and then I’m going to delete it from my phone and move on to something else. The mobile market has no shortage of F2P games and that I can spend a couple of minutes playing in the stall at work.

No you were painting it like it’s not a big deal and no one should criticize it because it’s the norm.

It should absolutely be demonized and banned.

Im def not a Blizz bot and im enjoying D:I so far. I wont be putting any money into it, and so far im having fun experiencing new content. Not taking it too seriously and making it my life helps. I have other games to spread my time around to.

They’re a corporation, not a small company with one or two games anymore. When most of their funding comes from other mobile games… that’s where we’re going to see all their time go.

Unfortunate, but true.

No, you just can’t comprehend English and decided to act all snarky. Goodbye.
