Frankly I don’t know what people expected. Their games aren’t doing as well and profits are bleeding so they’re resorting to this. If Diablo 3 wasn’t such a blunder of a game that is lazily developed in hopes of a Diablo 4 that is good enough to stand up to something like Path of Exile but in all honesty wouldn’t shock me if it were more akin to Lost Ark with some radical new direction of how the game should be played given one of the biggest complaints people have had is the lack of socializing even with just trading. It’s a solo game with an always online DRM component.

If the next WoW expansion bombs, expect them to start looking here.

I’m not.

I’d be surprised if anyone clever still works at Blizzard.

Apparently people have done the math and found that to get the best gear possible with all upgrades, you have to drop about $100,000. Or play for free every day for literally over a decade.

Cool.

Isn’t every game now days?

Yes but some are more relaxed, others are more in your face. Diablo Immortal is very in your face.

Only 1k? How do you even enjoy gaming only putting that much into it. Gaming isn’t a hobby it’s a lifestyle. Hopefully you start to take it a little more seriously then investing that kind of pocket change.

Neverwinter is way worse though. Most games are. And also it is very odd how Blizz makes you pay to play your own toons in Classic to continue them. That is why Classic died is because they made it to where you had to play to pay each and every toon you wanted to move onto the new expac for Classic. Thus is modern day Blizz we are talking about here. Its like “Dont you guys have phones?” The response to that if I were the guy who had asked that I would have said "Dont you guys have good programmers? " Mobile market is only doing better than the other gaming markets because that is all that is getting promoted right now.

I suppose you are right, i did just pull out my last of stocks from bitcoin to silver.

100k wouldn’t hurt the few million from the past few days.

I would go into the game with the assumption of spending 50-100 a month. Dolphins or light spenders usually get quite a bit with their money because they can buy the weekly/monthly passes and any good deals in the shop.

A lot of mobike games I’ve come very close in power to mega whales just by being consistent with dailies and spending here and there. Depends on the mobile game really

F2p players are almost always thrown under the bus and idk how people can enjoy that

I wonder how many people who slammed Lost Ark as a pay to win mess are going to come out of the woodwork to defend Diablo Immoral.

How long till someone throws off the mask and simply says “This boss costs a mere $9.99 to overthrow, but for each additional $4.99 you can guarantee a piece of loot!”

Why are micro transactions being pushed in a beta? We’re testing the game for them and they want us to throw money at skips and such? Nothing about that makes sense.

Why are they trying to bilk money from someone who is literally doing them a favor?

Yeah I wanted to play it for the story but… it’s hard to do… I wish there was an offline mode without all that stuff. I’d pay $20 for that. (This game is not worth $60 or even $40)

Never forget: Don’t you guys have phones?

Yuck. I won’t be getting it.

I feel worse for SC fans who will never been getting new content. No starcraft 3. No other games based on the same IP.

diablo immortal is a mobile game , lost ark is a pc game :joy:

i don’t know what is the problem with diablo immortal monetization , like they discovered mobile games are P2W ?

you open Clash royale first day and you can spend 10 000$ too , why don’t people make big dramas for this game too ?

thats why Blizzard was right to not make this game on PC , they compare this mobile game quality vs PC games

You may approach the milking machine when ready.
