Diablo Immortal does not bode well for Arclight Rumble

I’d say it is P2W full stop in PvP. Perhaps just mostly P2W in PvE, until you have to decide am I satisfied with the wall I’m hitting in content that I can do without better gear, or do I start buying the crap I need to get better?

I downloaded it, tried it…meh. It looks like a Diablo game, it sounds like a Diablo game, but I’m just not digging the touch controls. And yes, I know you can attach a controller to your phone or tablet (or play on PC, I don’t have one myself), but the touch interface just doesn’t jive with me.

Then I realize that I have D3 on my PS4 Pro, and have tons more fun with that.

Activision blizzard has been making mobile games for quite a while now. Nothing new or out of the ordinary when King is in their portfolio.

Not really the point but feel free to continue grasping.

Pivot to mobile games?
Arclight is their first and only fully in house mobile game.

Return to making PC games?
Dragonflight, OW2, and D4 and currently in production. All PC games with no mobile play.

I get not liking the monetization and structure of Immortal but you’re getting a little ahead of yourself.

Edit: I’m also not sure how much I agree that most PC gamers don’t care for mobile. Mobile is THE largest gaming market, I’d be very surprised if there was not a significant overlap. Possibly fair to say most Blizzard fans don’t care for mobile though.

Oh noes, what ever will Activizard do without Belgian waffles? If only they had a nation like China to fall back on.

Well the blob needs another new yacht this year or more gold in his parachute, it would have been all pay to log in, pay to chat, pay to maybe play if servers are up and pay more to win if he had his way. Read a few interviews when he was the ‘new hot boss with the great ideas’ from gaming magazines before the internet was a big deal. What you see now is what he said he wanted.

Just my opinion but don’t hold your breath with Microsoft, who knows how they will milk the cash cow that is WoW. The new boss i just like the old boss etc, and they will want another new yacht too probably.

I’ll be pleasantly surprised if it doesn’t get more stupid but my wife and I do love the game, the friends we make along the way and do pay to play every 6 months and if it wasn’t for those relationships forged we would be long long gone.

We also have no importance because we are just players and they already got our money last billing cycle.

Sorry for the unprovoked rant but the blob needs another new yacht so it is what it is.

Well they just made the big leagues on YouTube.

I play Immortal on PC and my Phone, and so does the rest of my Warband.

Yeah streamers with nearly unlimited money from donations complaining about the game just to get views.

Yea, the people who have enough money and those with enough dignity to not be paid shills.

“I hate this evil company and their nefarious desire for money!!! Join me on my stream as I play a game produced by the same company!”

Clown shoes.

Please explain?

And there shouldn’t be. Lootboxes are one of the worst cancers to ever infect the gaming landscape.

As a F2P player, I went 10-0-8 (K/D/A) in PVP. I was slamming P2W folks with my Barb loil

stop acting outraged. these are two mobile games that are meant for the mobile audience who doesn’t give af about micro transactions.

Stories of people spending thousands of dollars for upgrades?

Somehow I think the jailer wins.

Who said I was outraged? Simply asking if you think the success of these games will affect Dragonflight game reward design
