There’s an I-frame on rain from above as you fly into the air too.
Kind of crazy that you can meta transform immune damage like airborne chaos bolts.
Separate subject, but it’s also really dumb how blade dance and blur dodge attacks from behind as well. Really dumbed down for the lowest common denominator if you don’t even have to turn your character to not let them behind you like every other dodge/parry mechanic in the game.

As mm hunter id rather chase the druid/monk/pally/rshaman around the pillar than target the dh. he will dodge 40% of my casts.

DH having meta and rain from above invulnerability in addition to blade dance 100% dodge is pure sadism and everyone who doesn’t main DH knows it.
I dont think id be as salty about blade dance dodge if it didnt have a 9 second cooldown. I thought vanishing spell back during wotlk was fun and is what made me like playing rogue main. Different time different game i suppose.

So? Only Rogue and Warrior will have a real problem for again 1 second, all the other classes can do some magic damage and that can’t be dodged.
Having it tied to an offensive ability they spam and it being adjusted by haste is insane. During meta they literally bladedance non-stop and on top of that with visions they sit in meta for the entire first two minutes of an arena match.
It promotes brain dead toxic gameplay. Remove the damage from blade dance, make it 15 sec CD. It should function like feint where they use it preemptively not part of their dps rotation.
Concept idea: then the IV frames into cancel frames. If they are stunned or cced during those frames their move is canceled including meta

Agreed. It should at the very least be a separate ability you actively have to use because you think someone is going to do something. Accidentally dodging critical moves from opponents because you are doing bIg d!Ck dPs isn’t fun for anyone else

I could be missing it, but there doesn’t seem to be enough of a visual que either? Darkness is obviously pretty easy to spot, but not blade dance. For me anyway.
