Players. Players asked for wf/tf and 3 chesting to be removed. Players asked for bonus rolls to be removed. Players asked for less end of dungeon drops and at lower ilvl. Players asked for dungeons with less rp and esport design.

Don’t blame blizzard. They tried to give us nice things. But some players don’t want nice things.

Never having loot upgrades actually drop after a m+ run whilst you are playing the game is actually peakgameplay? Don´t you know it is fun to loot stuff once a week in a dumb box when no one else is online, in a way that makes the reward seem completely detached from the hard work you put in?? :clown_face: :clown_face:

So we go back to Legion where you get 3 drops (2 if untimed) but they cap out 5 item levels below heroic dungeon level.

And the weekly cache is 1 item, and it’s base is 5 item levels under mythic.

Then with a massive heap of RNG with titanforging on top.

That is better?

Gearing right now is so fast and it’s so easy to get very powerful gear with mythic+, crests, and crafting.

Almost like gear will be useless if you are geared out… just like every expansion?

WF/TF is the opposite of “nice things” they are a stupid RNG gamey system where items can never just be the items.

Knowing you have the chance of gear upgrades dropping whilst doing the content literally feels better, and that is very important to players.

Opening stuff in a dumb box when no one else is online is the worst way to reward players.

The success of Blizzard games like Vanilla WoW, Diablo 2,3 and 4 are all built on RnG loot.

Vanilla is literally just stand AFK whilst doing raids pressing frostbolt with ur 39 buddies hoping for cool rewards.

Deterministic loot is a failure, anyone with basic understanding of human nature knows this.

No. That is some streamer buzz word. WF/ TF was a way to let casual players get nice gear. The glowing upgrade animation is as “feels good” as it gets.

Mythic raiders were still the best geared players.

Vanilla? The game with no titanforging and all end game loot was weekly based (raid lockouts)?

without a doubt the callings/emisarries where a very good system that i personally logged in every 3 ish days to blast through. sad its not in DF.
garrisons where tight ngl. gardening, mines, stables, and the inn gave me a reason to log in daily/weekly. the garden felt like half-hill farm but slightly less engaging. coulda useed the tools from hall hill to make it better.
not to sure about the fate system but i think it was a great way to level alts. i just didnt like the fill the bar quests you gotta do during fate. i like legion invasions more, they gave chunky xp with fun mechanics like hopping into tanks and shooting stuff.

facts. resilence is something i think was smart. too many one shots these days to enjoy a pvp battle.

yeah the pool is to limited.
shoulda done mop, legion, bfa, and DF. instead of 8 dungeons… do like 16 so we can all have a choice on where to go and where to avoid.

Where there is so much RnG that you can do Ragnaros for 2 years and not get thunderfury?

It’s not, it’s a terrible awful system of stupid rng on rng on rng and I was so glad they came to their senses and removed it.

The vast majority of the game never had it and the game is better with it removed.

Still looking for that titanforging in vanilla, can’t find it.

Every item is the item.

Yes, due to how weapon skill works there is a BiS BOE.

But when one drops it doesn’t have a random amount of weapon skill, that is what you seem to want.

And 99% of gearing which are not BOEs are once a week from raid clears. Again, all static. No having an item drop but it didn’t RNG titanforging.

Just the item.

Maybe a binding should drop and you want it to RNG into a super binding?

The worst class balancing in history? Aww jeez Karen so dramatic.

Game has been dying ever since. The same people that raged about it were the same people that complained about welfare epics in Wrath.

Casual players getting 1 or 2 tf’s did not impact anyone else’s gameplay. Mythic raiding was the most reliable source of high ilvl gear.

Drops were RNG.

Titanforging is RNG on top of RNG.

Why do you want double RNG? You want to farm the item then also pray it’s a special RNG version of the item?

Game was declining way before titanforging and trying to tie sub count to something like that is as stupid as the people trying to tie it to RFD.

Not to mention sub count has never been provided since titanforing became a thing.

Thunderforging and warfrorging in MoP and WoD clearly didn’t save the game lol.

I have 0 idea what you’re trying to say with this.

The people who like what they have done are the ones who have been around for 15+ years. They have been asking for exactly the changes that were made. They don’t have a clue what “brand new” players want or need to turn them into regular players who look forward to logging in every day. So new players rarely stay.
