The new gearing system allowed for ivll 437+ in less then a month and get AOTC/KSH/KSM fast. Sarkareth was also a very easy final boss, compared to Raznagoth who was overtuned beyond belief.
MoP/ WoD nearly killed the game. Legion is the only reason it still exists. But MoP/ WoD players have done their best to kill everything Legion added.
WoD was a raid-logger paradise. It was a pvp lobby player paradise. It was an alt-army afk simulator paradise. The game died.
RNG is a weak excuse. The entire game is rng. From spell variance and crit to miss/ dodge. Gear isnât any different. What some people did not like was casuals getting nice gear. An lfr hero ret pally getting a max level draught impacted no one. Yet that was the poster complaint on these forums.
Starfield already hit, what? EA players are playing it including me. Its a 10/10 game btw.
that not work, IS CATACLYSM not Dragonflight!
Why did TBC and Wrath grow the game when they were also raid log games with no titanforging?
Those expansions also went hard into rating requirements on PvP gear for even more gating.
Yet subs grew.
Maybe a lot of specific game design decisions donât have a big effect to try and correlate them?
The worst class balancing in the history of the game leads to god-comp meta where a huge percentage of players canât get invited to group content.
In the history of M+? Maybe early in the season, sure, but you REALLY donât remember the SL S3 meta if you think that the current Exodia comp is as ridiculously broken as SL S3âs meta comp.
In the history of this entire game? No, not even close. HFC has that title by a landslide.
Wrath grow the game
Wrath did not grow the game. Subs flatlined. It was the best selling WoW ever was. And for every sale, someone quit.
Listening to the top players that beg Blizzard for clown changes on Twitter killed the game.
Donât blame us; nobody asked for Aug and the general consensus among the high-end raiding community is that Aug has been a net negative for the game from the moment it was introduced.
Where did this myth that Blizzard designs stuff for the 1% come from? Because I feel like the 1% has gotten the short end of the stick on a consistent basis with bad raids/poor dungeon tuning early on.
nobody asked for Aug
No one asked for bard or tinker? No one has asked for support style classes/ specs? Ok.
nobody asked for Aug
Except if you look at the numbers in the vid. The game was already suffering before Aug was added and specs were reworked during the .5 patch. Aug is not the issue with DF, however it has clearly exacerbated the issue.
It would be like blaming the Ret paladin rework for killing pvp, when all it did was accelerate its demise.
Blizzard designs stuff for the 1% come from?
From the fact that the entire game now has an awful power progression system that mainly punishes open world players as to not bother top players.
the entire game now has an awful power progression system
This is the crazy part. If progression systems still existed ret and aug would have significantly less impact on the meta.
Itâs almost like DF is reroll or die now because all of the things legion added for casual players also rewarded time investment for serious players.
From the fact that the entire game now has an awful power progression system that mainly punishes open world players as to not bother top players.
Except it doesnât? You can literally craft your 4pc without stepping foot in a raid, you can upgrade your gear to at least 424 without stepping foot in a raid or dungeon, numerous slots can be upgraded to 437, and you can literally AFK farm gear in Time Rifts every hour. And I donât have to do any bit of that to do the content I want to do.
I donât understand how open-world players truly believe theyâre being âpunishedâ when they donât have to deal with two mediocre raids, dungeon balance that takes forever to get going, and an entire spec that only negatively impacts the game in group content.
Except if you look at the numbers in the vid.
âThe vid?â As in, some other clickbait video spawned by the sort of Asmongold-type rage bait content that gets attention from a bunch of salty 30 year olds that havenât played WoW since 2010? The videos specifically tailored to leave out crucial information as often as possible to make their viewpoint look better?
If progression systems still existed ret and aug would have significantly less impact on the meta.
Uhhh⊠no, not in the slightest. Aug would still be every bit as oppressive in group content no matter what sort of progression system exists because the spec is just objectively broken and overcentralizing by design. Casual players still have a meaningful progression system and are arguably the least-affected by the cancer that is Augmentation, simply because Augmentation gets better and better the more and more geared and skilled players get.
You people really donât know what youâre talking about.
Starfield already hit, what? EA players are playing it including me. Its a 10/10 game btw.
Hello, I see you replied to the thread. Haha, Starfield is only a 10/10 game if you consider a great game to be a bug filled mess, capped at 30 fps on console, braindead AI that makes Skyrim look like itâs from 2054, and nothing more than a loading screen simulator!
Thanks for your post and have a great day!
Its a 10/10 game btw.
Itâs another decent-at-best Bethesda game that wouldâve been a masterpiece by 2015 standards but isnât that impressive nowadays, heavily held back by the common Bethesda problem of having a horrifically bad inventory system.
Letâs not get carried away. Starfield is good. Thatâs it.
If progression systems still existed ret and aug would have significantly less impact on the meta.
People have no idea. It is what annoys me with the sanctimonious top players on Twitter or the WoW content creators. The power progression systems in Legion and BFA were the glue that kept this entire game together. Their removal have had so many consequences people are not even aware off.
Now these RWF / M+ Twitter posters, who have built their careers on World of Warcraft, yet fail to even understand the game, have the audacity to tell us how good Dragonflight is, despite the fact that they barely play the game themselves.
Now these sanctimonious Twitter posters, who have built their careers on World of Warcraft, yet fail to even understand the game,
So, people like Bellular and Asmongold then. Got it.
Uhhh⊠no, not in the slightest. Aug would still be every bit as oppressive in group content no matter what sort of progression system exists because the spec is just objectively broken
So, let me get this straight. Players spent all of Legion complaining about AP/ rng leggos because alts were so far behind that it was nearly impossible to catch up⊠but fotm reroll ret/ aug would be unaffected? Ok.
Being able to fully cap a new character in a few days has nothing to do with how quickly the exodia meta shifted? Ok.
Except if you look at the numbers in the vid. The game was already suffering before Aug was added.
I agree. At some point in time repeating the same content will lose the new car smell. Once that wears off reality awaits.
I have never done a Mythic dungeon, but this seems like an inevitable result of doing the same activity repeatedly.
but fotm reroll ret/ aug would be unaffected?
By this point in an AP grind expansion, there was enough catchup in place that someone who really wanted to reroll Aug could do so within a week anyway. This could, and often did, happen throughout Legion even when we never had anything as oppressive as Aug.
Being able to fully cap a new character in a few days has nothing to do with how quickly the exodia meta shifted? Ok.
Most key pushers had every class maxed out and reasonably geared up well before 10.1.5 hit.
Also, what youâre proposing is literally âmake gearing significantly harder and/or make alts an absolutely ludicrous time sink.â That affects much, much more than the top 1%, since alts are a commonplace thing in WoW and have been even when the grinds were at their worst in Legion/BFA. By trying to restrict what the top 1% do (and failing miserably), youâre affecting the majority of the playerbase negatively.
The game is always better when the game is alt-friendly.
Salty bois bashing Starfield smh.
Itâs like people want to bash Skyrim but Skyrim is protected by the holy seal so they try to diminish it by attacking Starfield instead.
