The threads skip is still available as long as you have completed the campaign and joined a covenant on one character. I did the skip on 24 alts by talking to the Fatescribe. When you hit 60, just go back to Oribos and talk to him, pick threads, and you’re immediately sent to pick a covenant and can skip forward to Maw dailies from there. There are a bunch of skips you can use.
The only difference is - during SL you used to be able to use threads to level from 50-60. You can no longer do that. You have to hit 60 first. If you hit 60 in SL content you have to fly back to Oribos manually. If you are 60 before going to SL at all, he will come up to you as soon as you enter Oribos and offer it.
I’ve seen a few people say that it isn’t being offered. Since it’s such a small number of people they must have done something wrong. I don’t know. I just know I have a TON of alts, and I was able to use it on every single one of them, in Dragonflight, between patches 10.1.5 and 10.2.7.
