Early alpha Torghast had you locked to a deliberately low ilvl for testing (like they do with all alpha instances) and was easy enough.
The problem with calling no-timer torghast difficult, is the actual difficulty of the run is pure RNG.

Yeah, I’ll never understand the desire to purchase, and pay for monthly, a social game and play it alone. Like, play a single player game. Literally every single one is better in that regard lol.
Exactly! The ONLY reason I play WoW is to play with my friends.
I don’t think WoW, in and of itself, is worth playing, if not for other people. There are so many single player games that are so much better than WoW is, as a single player game.
I am so tired of this idiotic argument of, “solo player experience” people that only do solo content, you are a tiny minority of the player-base. You can’t gimp yourself out of content and then cry about it… they have plenty for you to do, it’s up to you to do it.

Plenty of content in WoW awards gear without having a timer. Even untimed M+ runs have a chest at the end and count towards the Vault.
The original playable Torghast (during Alpha or Beta?) also had limited number of entries per week through keys that you farmed in the Maw, sort of how you farmed invasions in 8.3 for entry into Horrific Visions.
It is more likely that high-profile raiders like Preach and Bellular complained about having to do world content in order to do Torghast, and with the removal of the key system, gear was removed as well. Torghast was toned down as an endgame feature, but legendary reagents were left there to make sure that players did Torghast and the dev expenses wouldn’t go to waste.
Very few solo and casual players even play Beta, and it is even less likely that their feedback is taken into account. WoW devs have even stated that their get feedback about game systems from Mythic raiders, as if it was a given.
This is objectively false considering I got my rogues his 4p by doing the storms. Also, you don’t need tier to get into raiding

So what? As a solo player, this complaint has always confused me.
Are you really a solo player if you’re obsessed with your ilevel? I don’t think so because anyone worried about it is doing so to raid or mythic+ which is not solo play.
We don’t need “full power” or highest ilevel gear to run old raids, complete queueable content, or do open world activities
No it shouldn’t. A raider’s $15 is the same as a solo player’s $15 a month. If Blizzard was smart, they would try to make both sides happy.

Same reason someone pays $15 to watch crappy shows on Netflix? Who cares if someone wants to waste their money on a computer game. Usually there’s plenty of stuff to do in WoW as a solo player. Do you want Blizzard to get less money from players? Start making cutbacks? Shut down servers…?
I mean… when I went to film school I stopped playing the game because I knew I wasn’t going to have the time to actually properly play the game. I’m not sure why these people aren’t doing likewise.

How does one “properly” play a computer game? Do you have a Blizzard ref standing behind you with a whistle? Do you get a red card if you pet battle? Please explain how to “properly” play.
Will they? Only a tiny, tiny portion of the player base makes an “i quit” thread.
The last sub count we had was in WoD at something like 5 million. Do you really think between BfA and SL we have more players than that now? Honesty. And do you honestly think this game can afford to drive out the people that don’t play “properly?”
p.s. Your answer doesn’t matter because I’m just going to mute this thread. I have no idea why people would be against more/better solo content or why anyone would want a large chunk of the player base (soloers) to quit.
I hope people like you and Snozzy get exactly what you want and y’all can try to figure out how to get a raid together when WoW is down to 10 servers. Come on over to SWTOR and see how they manage it.
There seems to be a pretty large misconception with the thinking process of this.
Single player experience does not necessarily detail avoiding EVERY other player in the game and its almost if people do not enjoy mindlessly wiping on a raid boss for 9 hours a week or running the same dungeons over and over again. M+ was made popular because not everyone enjoys raiding.
I mythic raid and aim for CE every tier but there are some days I’d love to log in and not deal with 19 other screaming nerds and focus on doing something that challenges me on my own.
Since Blizzard loves to borrow things from other MMO’s they really need to take a look at the solo content of games like Gw2. I love the fact that game has so many avenues outside of just raiding and spamming dungeons.
When you aren’t partaking in the current solo activities yes there is.
Common sense. Most solo players play a few weeks of a patch and then quit.

Solomokayers don’t have a real need to buy tokens.
Because this is group based game and ignoring the solo players allows more dev time on the content most people play.
