Then why did 9.2 give the world players the ability to obtain LFR ilvl pieces doing world content that could be converted into tier?

Because it’s LFR? And nobody cares about LFR? The only people who do LFR are those trying to gear up to do other content, or transmog people or casuals.
Sounds like a lot of people.
A small few yeah. The forums don’t make a lot of people.
LFR tier is better than a 425 non tier.
I’m not a fan of grinding elites, but the gear curve plays out in a way that one can largely ignore them. The community events, so long as there is solid ambient participation, are still what I consider solo content. The hunts are the only one that has had a hard time sustaining a reliable critical mass of players to function well. I do expect some challenges in future patches as the playerbase moves on to new content, but that’s a question of what sort of catchup exists.
( As an aside, it’s interesting to compare the social dynamic of 10.0.5 primalist future storms to BfA warfronts, which are quite similar except for being a formal party in BFA, an ungrouped mass in DF (and being shorter in length) vs being released after the “gear up race” part of the game has passed its rewards for competitive players. I find I’m growing more and more intrigued with this event as time goes on. It lacks any of the toxicity (forgive the buzzword) of warfronts, and still feels like an open world soloish event (even though it’s not one really) )
Crafted gear is of sufficient power. Shadowlands issues were more with the scaling of world content solo players were engaging with rather than wanting competitive gear. The dungeon quest for sparks is obnoxious, but for 10.0, basically ignorable.
Professions definitely made a questionable choice in making attaining max skill so difficult at the same time a long specialization grind was being added. But I don’t consider that a “solo” issue.
Having a single weekly calling and longer WQ rotation has not caused me any problems. In fact, I have enough alts (that I actually want to play) that if anything this feels like an improvement to me, not a loss.
Mission table … well, I miss it, but it’s also clear from shadowlands we were heading down a path where the devs were trying to control the “value” of the table by escalating the supply costs of participation in a way that was starting to squeeze the fun out of it anyway.
The OP is clearly baiting a discussion, but before this thread degenerates into the usual playstyle war, I just wanted to sneak in some feedback.
Obviously.
Respectfully. But. You can just AFK a normal dungeon even to do it, literally don’t even have to move a finger or talk to anyone. Isn’t it just one dungeon, why do you want to strictly never interact with other people? I maybe don’t understand this because I am not in your shoes but I am speechless by this.
It is literally not, the loss of stats from LFR to 425 would not be worth any 2 or 4 set bonus.
And 9.2 had world content casuals could do to get relics which could get LFR ilvl blank gear which could be converted into LFR tier.
Oh in other word, respectfully, buy a carry.
Okay? And? What are you trying to say here? Are you wanting mythic raid gear to be apart of world content?
Most of the chatter I see about LFR on the forums is people complaining about being “forced” to do LFR for mogs or overgeared people complaining about wiping on Raz.
In fact if I took my view from the forums I’d probably say “nobody cares about LFR” where in the game queues are fairly quick and raids are always full.
For a NORMAL dungeon? No, quite literally. You can AFK it and not move a finger. People don’t care. When I did normals on my decked out characters, I literally zoomed through the instance and never cared what 4 other people did behind me. XD
Ofc, like I said that that’s me. Idk how people react to someone actually afk’ing or not even attacking mobs but you can atleast make an effort to follow along and hit something, right? Most people won’t hate you for not doing much dps if that’s what is bothering you.
I know what I said lol, so what are you trying to tell me.
There were systems in shadowlands that let people get the gear. Tier for casuals world content enjoyers. Why is it a problem now?
I’m not Blizzard, so you tell me. I’m just saying it’s stupid, the world content stuff was probably added for an easy quick way for alts. If you want the gear then work for it, if not then sit down and cry on the forums about how this game is so unfair.
Really, have you read the forum? But ok so I’ll afk ,that is so demeaning.
The only way to get blizzard to change is quite frankly to sit down and cry on the forums about how this game is so unfair. So we do just that. Get over it.
