DF abandons WoW’s solo playerbase... but why?

It’s TBD how much sticking power it has. Obviously it’s big now because it’s both new, and part of an established and (even if the author isn’t anymore), generally well liked IP.

the sequel to the legend of zelda breath of the wild will blow me away

The WoW Classic player with 0 posts brings up an interesting point.

lmao.

Yeah, storms in df are just boring unfun trash mob grinds. At least Legion, and BFA invasions had some objectives outside of just killing packs of trash lol. They also had cool little scenarios at the end for a decent reward.

Yep. De-evolution of good systems in Dragonflight

SL was a bad expansion but for a strictly solo player it had more content and better systems than DF.

DF open world content at max level is just a bunch of dungeon mobs and bosses that require parties or raids.

The real mental gymnastics being done here is the notion that all this world content is “solo content”.

Solo players had nothing to do but grind anima and Ve’nari rep in 9.0. The content drought for them was a bigger issue, as evidenced by the fact that SL subs plummeted long before Castle Nathria had finished its life cycle as a raid tier.

It is quite elitist to keep solo players a full 39 iLvls behind the hardcore group content players—that is one and a half season’s worth of progression.

It’s a single player game, it has 100-150 hours in it then it’s cooked.

Like all other single player RPGs.

typical troll you loved sandworn relics in zereth you said it what was it the same as sigil content boring lol. and then you claimed you didn’t have to do nothing to get relics a flat out lie just go away permanently.

And WoW will still be the joke in the gaming community.

“That game died didnt it?”

its an enjoyable game when you can solo old raids and collect mogs. but outside of that meh

You’re not a full 39 ilvls behind anyone. Nobody has 444 ilvl gear yet.

385 is quite literally 30 ilvls under mythic raids.

You have access to some 405 items as a solo.

Ah yes a few 405 items. 388 ilvl then. Im sorry.

LFR is typically 39 item levels below Mythic.

I am still getting 376-382 rewards from epic quests and 385 upgraded items, which is still the upper end of LFR quality.

I am still saving my 5 Sparks and 5 Infusions until it becomes clear that Sparks and Primal Chaos are farmable.

They are. Apparently the best way to farm sparks is actually world rares, so have fun with that.

I actually did the math, and it’s 392. which is above base normal, and 394 with the 424 ring from next patch.

Wrath was WoW’s biggest expansion, and anyone who played that will recognize Alex.

SL sold more because solo players thought they were finally getting a game mode for them in Torghast.

Hardcore group content players are pretty much going to buy whatever expac comes out.

its a freakin MMO.

i dont know why you lot are so focused on “but meh solo content needs to be in everything” no

play it like its suppose to be other wise your free to take your money else where

Then why did Ion say solo world players are the silent majority and they would do more stuff for them in this expansion?

Few 405s, rest 392, tier should be lowest at 385 full solo.

Because they want the solo content to be as important as the m+/raiding content and that will never be a reality.

They want the solo content to award top tier stuff off rip.
