Devs, your Slave Pens fix wasn't enough. Please add fix v2

Here’s a video showing how to get around the Slave Pens pathing exploit. Please add a more robust fix for this exploit to make this farm completely impossible. Maybe even spend about 5 additional seconds and think of how to counter your fix, and then fix that counter too.

Thanks!

Imagine larping as a “gamer” when you work at buzzard…

we have an easy levelling path from 60 to 70 and you want them to remove it?

Thanks for this video. It was very helpful. I look forward to utilizing this method during my leveling grind.

I like how anti-boosters are pro-cheating. “Protect the integrity if the leveling experience!”

I am pro-boosting? what are you on about. I want unlimited boosting with the new races added.

Apologies if that’s the case.

For some reason I thought otherwise.

I still don’t like pathing exploits, however

I mean if it isn’t this they will find something akin to tribute runs or mana tombs pickpocketing or some new method that pops up because of something they didn’t expect.

People are going to find an optimal gold farm or easy levelling within the first few weeks that will annoy people who play the more traditional route.

It’s one thing to be efficient. It’s another to exploit.

I guess blizzard gets to define that line, it will be interesting to see if they respond to or patch this.

It’s not so much about exploiting it for experience. It’s about the levels of gold that get dumped into the economy from farming the trash. Exact same thing happened with ZF.

Paladins get to print gold by vendoring Stratholme after doing 2-3 mega pulls. They don’t have to exploit or anything either, they just have to be good at being a Protection Paladin.

Trying to zero in on this particular farm is fun and all, but it isn’t going to alleviate gold inflation in the slightest.

Zf brought in a very small amount of gold to the economy. Mara may be what you meant.

Haven’t looked into it that much, but you’re probably right. I just know you can get 60+ gold per hour from just vendoring whatever the trash mobs drop. Which is a pretty hefty amount of raw gold.

Any attempt made to combat inflation through exploiting or otherwise is welcome, in my opinion. If not, it just means the WoW Token will get added eventually. Although, this is probably the end goal for Blizzard.

Just make the mobs, in all dungeons and raids, teleport you to them when you are unhittable or in an unintended spot

I mean… I casually brought over several thousand gold with more waiting to come once TBC launches with the bigger gold caps on xfers, and I have an amount of gold that I barely maintained in Wrath, let alone TBC or Vanilla. All of my 60’s are going to have epic flying on day 1 with plenty of gold to spare without even counting gold from leveling/grinding.

I’m honestly surprised the WoW Token doesn’t yet exist because it really is one of the only remaining relief valves without Blizzard just adding ludicrously expensive cosmetics and mounts to the game.

Many of them already do, but the problem is that you’re still accessible to these mobs, they just have to take an awkward and lengthy path to get to you because Z-axis movement is very poorly coded in this game.

Small amounts of kiting could be very well killed on the spot if Blizzard were to try to eliminate this method. I’d hate to see the Tank I just Frostnova’d for get yoinked right back to the mobs instead of being free to gain some distance and let the Healer catch up.

Aside from epic flying and raid consumables, there’s not a lot of need for gold.

Decent gear will be much easier to come by hurting the gdkp market. Boe’s will be worth a lot in p1 but p2 and onward you will have last season’s arena gear easily farmable in bgs for free that is decent enough to get you going.

I do.

Exploit early and often, my mom always said.
