Devs update with refusal to pull the ripcord

Yea, and you guys are by far the minority.

The same people who said Artifact Traits were fine at launch. Azerite Traits were fine at launch. Essences were fine when they launched. That Corruptions were fine with they launched.

Newsflash: They weren’t. And Blizzard changed all of them because people were quitting. They just keep repeating the cycle and it’s not going to stop until they don’t have enough subscribers to keep the game running because they’re stubborn.

When I saw your username in my notification, how would I know that you’d spew this predictable nonsense of a response. Feels like little here know how to or want to have a normal discussion. Instead revert back to these stupid remarks.

Correct - level up 4 DK’s.

It’s a great way to inflate numbers from a business stand point.

Talk about painting me with a broad brush.

I enjoy optimizing my character. I enjoy transmog and aesthetics. This system makes me choose between the two and I HATE it. It doesn’t feel like a good decision to make.

If you want an actual conversation as to why I dislike the current covenant system, I’m down. I just think saying that the playerbase that pays to play and pays a subscription is entitled for leaving feedback on a system that is doomed to fail is rather silly. Idk what my username has to do with it, but I have made a lot of constructive and reasonable posts.

You seem to feel that you will be unable to do anything else outside of what you specialize in, which is not true. You will be “ok” at everything, but at one thing, you might be better.

You’re not “punished” at the other things just because you’re better at some specific aspect. In those other things, you’re “normal”. Like the majority of everyone else. Everyone else will be “normal” at most things, and “better” at one thing.

The “better” is not the “new normal”. The normal is the normal, and then there’s a stand out where you’re a bit better.

doesn’t bother me one bit… theres an obvious choice just take that one.

if all covenants were all on par with each other for all classes it’d be a different story, choice would actually be hard to make… but as it is… no problem.

Nice way of not using the second part of my statement. lol

Sadly you missed the conversation, thereby taking my post outta context and applying it to everyone who made feed back. That’s to say lots of threads here are ‘constructive’ which they aren’t.

Unless you are a Mage going Venthyr. Then you have an ability that is only good in PVP unless it gets dispelled. Which it can be easily. So then it only is useful on enemies that use abilities, which isn’t a lot. And if you are in a group, the abilities get interrupted and the power never goes off.

Game is fine

Problem is people like YOU who get your info from content creators who will complain about every little thing on this planet until they get their way.

Imagine being Preach and spending a 2 hour interview embarrassing yourself and the community by trying to fight with a game director over nothing that was ever gonna get changed.

Top two things Ion regrets saying

  1. Imagine how wonderful Azeroth would be without flying.

  2. The word Ripcord

why? because you cant do it?

90% of you saying stuff like this are just going to spend all your time doing old content anyway. of course you arent worried about game balance

Replying to a post that is well-spoken with

when the decision, literally will impact everyone is not having a discussion. I’ve scrolled through the entire discussion and I don’t see a single time you posted anything constructive. I didn’t “miss the conversation” because in this thread, you were never involved in one. You just call people leaving feedback “entitled”.

…does anybody know how to get a refund for shadowlands?

Yeah, and OP said that ‘everyone’ will be affected.
Is it that hard to understand. Or are you just looking for a friend to talk with.

That would be fine, if the system was equally beneficial across the entire game. When you have players in beta and content providers telling us that one Covenant is definately better for their class than any other, that seems to defeat the idea of “bring the player not the class” - because you are forced to choose a Covenant that is advantageous to your class, not one you - as the player - wants to play.

To me, this is where Blizzard falls down. They seem intent on making this game into something completely different from what I remember when I started playing in Wrath. Back then, you played your character and, beyond choosing a faction, there was no need to be anything but a mage or a hunter or a paladin or a rogue. Now it’s - pick this Covenant and pick these soulbinds and pick these conduits…layer upon layer of things until you lose sight of what you chose to be. It feels like I’m carrying this weight around on my back, a tombstone rather than a choice.

It’s getting to the point where I hardly recognise the game anymore. It’s morphing into some other type of game and I really think if it had been like this when I started, I may very well have not loved it the way I did.

Everyone will be affected.
I’m genuinely curious. What class/spec are you going to main and what covenant are you planning on choosing?

No main chosen. Have just gone back between a few classes for a few expansions. Prefer Bastion and Ardenweald, but alts will also be on diff covenants from a thematic point of view.
