Devs STILL haven't done pathfinder

It’s really not that big of a deal that you found one Dev that doesn’t have it.

I think we’ve known for a while now the dev’s don’t really play the game.

Also if you’re considered about dev time its actually less work to not put in pathfinder and let people fly.

They can use their ground mounts all they want. What the OP is saying is that if they were playing the game they would get pathfinder eventually regardless of whether or not they wanted to fly.

The devs don’t want flying. If they had it their way flying would have been out of the game since WoD. Get over yourself.

I also don’t blame them. They work on the game all day and you expect them to go home and spend more time playing their work? Get real.

These are people who couldn’t find the PVP vendor.

Maybe they don’t like to fly?

If your video games are more tedious than the work that goes into designing them that’s not a great design.

What polls or research are they getting this false information from?
Don’t want flying? Cool, hop on your Grand Expedition Yak and stay grounded.
I want to fly.

The achievement only has to be completed on one character on an account, so how do you know they didn’t complete it on another character?

I don’t have the rep on this toon but u can armory my achievements and see it. So you can clearly see its not there for them. Part one OR part TWO.

Shhhh. Don’t let logic and reason ruin a good rage-fest.

How could anyone suggest someone like Ion doesn’t play the game? They play more wow than any of us. Who cares what their public facing character has unlocked? Think of all all the time playing development builds and ptr and whatnot.

You guys are reaching for something else to be mad about looking at a devs public facing character.

Pathfinder is not just “something to be mad about” flying was no issue until they made it one. Then they said there’s all this great content you should do and you’ll get it. Then don’t wanna do it themselves. It’s absurd. He’s telling US how great it is, why does he not wanna do it?

That’s your answer right there, devs who play their own game quickly see things they like and things that are too much trouble and or bad design. I’m still holding some hope for Shadowlands requirements but until I see them I’m very reluctant to buy in.

They literally make the game. They play more than you do already. If you need to see each developers public character progress to not be mad there is a PEBKAC issue.

It’s not a game design flaw, it’s a human flaw. Nobody wants to go home after a hard day’s work and spend their free time surrounded by their work.

Except that’s the truth or did you skip warlords entirely… when warlords launched the devs said many times they were delaying flying. Keyword is delaying not removing or omitting entirely that of course changed to “No later” and eventually into “We didn’t design it for flying”. Several million subs later and oh my look it’s added IF you do all the quest lines (whatever), all the reps (ugh) find … treasures? (wtf?) and oh yeah grind two more reps we’re adding in Taanan.

If anyone was Ridiculous it’s the devs/higher ups who betrayed many of us that would of simply left wow. I wouldn’t of minded if they’d been honest from the start. “We’re not going to allow flying in Draenor” Ok cool I’ll pass thanks for the heads up. It was the lies followed by the vindictive nature of Pathfinder that put me in ticked off mode.

Take a step back and review my post again:

  1. The powers that be say “to many playrs pissed/quitting. giff them flying”

  2. The powers that be say “to many players pissed/quitting over pathfinder…ehh it’s fine. Have fun baiting/punishing them.”

These two arguments are clearly ridiculous. I’m sorry my prior post was somehow difficult to parse.

They play the game so much that they don’t even have the content completed that they forced us to do.
