Devs STILL haven't done pathfinder

I thought that was EU and Rockstar games with Red Dead 2

They TOOK flying from players and put it behind this content.
You’re saying ppl don’t have enough time. So why put it behind this crap? It wasn’t a problem in the first place.
The content they make you do for it is literally just a time waster.

I agree after all if the people developing and creating content have no desire or faith in doing the content how can they expect the players to enjoy it?

No they didn’t, you can still fly in any zone that you’ve unlocked flight for. Nothing was taken away, you just have to earn the reward of flight for new zones.

Maybe if they had flying they would save time. Oh wait they took it away lol

Exactly this. A lot of people who works on games works 7 days a week and more than 8 hours per day to meet deadlines. I am actually surprised that some developers actually have time to play games.

I guess, the reality is, who cares?

no, i’m not saying “people don’t have enough time”.

we’ve still got another year of plonking around in BFA content.

stating that someone had more free time over 10 years ago, doesn’t mean “people don’t have enough time”.

come back and try making the same complaint in a year… when it might be slightly relevant.

…or even any inclination.

mechanics have mechanically unsound cars.

cleaners have dirty houses.

And when they get home they get to grind rep and azerite power with the little time they have. See why its bad design? If they DEVS cant even enjoy it the players sure don’t.

He never said that… he has said that he favors ground exploration. Basically he does not want flying at all - Why would he do pathfinder?

You
“I don’t want to wait a full year + 2 week of rep grinding to be able to fly.”
“Because when your company sells mounts that fly, lets you earn mounts that fly, one would expect those items to function as advertise in all versions of the game.”

And they do function as advertised in game. You can go to any zone that you’ve earned flight for and fly on any flying mount.

A single dev, who happens to be the game director of all people, not having flight doesn’t mean what you think it means.

Blizzard wants all aspect of flight gone well then all they have to do is remove all flying mounts from the store/in game issue a full refund to each player of gold and or real world money as well as no longer use flying in any promotional capacity or marketing

Blizzard should lead by example and show they have enough power of conviction to stand by their decision

Funny and ironic that theyll gladly compromise their principles in order to use
flying for financial gain but then continue to limit players after obtaining those store mounts

It’s not like oh he doesn’t do pet battles or pvp.
They took flying which every expansion you had at max level. And gated it behind time waster content.

By the end of SL xpac, PF will have been in the game for half as many xpac as fight has been in total. Just a logical fact that after this point that PF will actually moving beyond SL, will began to be the predominate way of earning ones fight.

Imagine if fast food operated like Blizzard you order a big mac they would tell you they dont actually serve it to you here

You order the food at this restaurant they send you across town to pay for it only then to be sent to the next county and pick up the burger then you have to go all the way back to the original restaurant before you are finally able to eat it

Just imagine the headache that would occur if you asked for fries or a napkin or worse yet have it supersized

Huh…imagine a person who back in the day had tons of time. He works hard and moves into a lead devlopment role for the game he loves so much…and now has little time as a consequence.

Imagine such a thing, presposterous surely.

Oh poor him. He doesn’t have time. He works hard. The rest of us? Nah we don’t matter.

Which is a pathetic example, because they could easily have put guards on the prisoner (can’t mount while in combat) or simply given us a dual objective of “kill this guy/these guys and free the prisoner.” I mean, it’s not like we haven’t been murdering guards for their keys since the game was launched.

“Flying makes it harder for us to slow players down on ‘click one thing’ quests” is a pathetic reason when better quest design would solve the alleged problem.

If there were actual secrets that were worth discovering, then I guarantee the players who were interested in that sort of thing would be on the ground, exploring under every rock and bush. But really, what’s in the world to discover? A cave with a chest containing 2 grey items and 11 war resources? That wouldn’t be worth dismounting for if I found it in the middle of the road.

Imagine if you wanted a good, quality meal and sat at a restaurant and they immediately bring you some microwaved tv dinner because its faster.

I can be silly too.
