@Devs, Halaa Tokens farming in Wrath. (Change request?)

Hi there.

So there are 2 items:
Halaa Battle Token & Halaa Research Token. (Links below)

Given how PvP in nagrand is non existent, would you please consider changing/adding ways of obtaining this currency? Going after 100 mount achieve. Every mount counts. Currently at 92/100.

Just consider this please. Just some minor daily non-PvP quest that would reward a few of those.

Thank you.

The Research Tokens are very easy to farm, if you’re able to get the Battle Tokens or already have them from TBC.

Interestingly, there’s a comment on Wowhead from 2009 about the Battle Tokens,

“But do the delopers realize that basically NO ONE actually participates in the “battle” anymore (and never actually never has, as there has never really been a reason to)? Do they realize that when they make another exploit-nerf, they are really just “fixing” an issue that they have caused by not giving any alternative methods? Maybe instead of removing the exploits to get the tokens until they are basically impossible to get, you should come up with an ALTERNATIVE WAY of receiving them? Or alternatively just make the mounts buyable for gold or the non-combat tokens, possible from the Nagrand-factions.”

While it appears there is a way to farm Research tokens.

20% drop chance Oshu’gun Crystal Powder Sample
Need x10 for x1 Research
Need 170 total so that’s at 1,700 Powder.

At 20% chance, its approx 8,500 mobs to kill.

lmao

And that’s only for research. Pagle is a 1 sided realm. There is no way to lose control over Nalaa.

So yeah, basically it’s unobtainable now.

I farmed this not that long ago, and it was surprisingly very fast. I had farmed the Battle Tokens on Skyfury back when it was a thriving, full server with both factions, and was pretty loathe to farm the Research Tokens so I put it off… I had done a couple of sessions farming the ogre mobs up in the Laughing Skull Ruins, and it seemed like it would take forever.

Anyway, I found that the Murkblood mobs around Sunspring Post respawn pretty quickly and have a decent drop rate, so a couple hours farming there and I was able to pick up a Dark Riding Talbuk. I still have a 100 Battle Tokens in my bag for whenever I feel like grinding out a few more hours for the 20 Research tokens for the Dark War Talbuk.

It’s easy if you already have the Battle Tokens, but if not yeah, it’s probably something you should have done when TBC content was current, or very early into Wrath, or at the very least on a server with both factions. I mean you’re obviously only going to be able to get Battle Tokens if there are people from the other faction who also happen to be spending some time there.

That’s why I mentioned the comment on Wowhead from 2009 complaining that no one actually participates in the battle anymore (and never actually has)…

Maybe they will make a change, but afaik they haven’t yet made any this far.

Yeah…I dont have any pvp tokens.
I played first and last phases of TBCC properly. Like, weekly raiding and so on. Missing mid phase due to SL

Basically unobtainable now.

You could maybe coordinate with some others (or use another account) to roll Horde (DKs would obviously be fastest or use level boosts), and figure something out if it’s something you really want.

I don’t think it’d be any easier to obtain in Retail.

Personally, if I were very interested in collecting this mount now, I would probably go looking in the Grobbulus discord to see if there are any regular events scheduled for people who want it.

Asking for changes ruins the game.

Keep Classic, Classic, no changes; real progressive patches.

Any and all changes to the game have ruined what it means to play the game as it was then. The love letter to the players who truly wish to play the real game.

You’re new here aren’t you.

If Halaa had its own daily (non-PVP) quests (that provided tokens as a reward option), that would have been more incentive for players to want to control it. say la veeeeeeeee

lmao. Tell you don’t play the game without telling you don’t play the game.

Also, have you even read my post? Or you just can’t hold your heads steady needing to reply something utterly useless?

Please enlighten me, and everyone else here, how can I, on Pagle, play Halaa PvP as it was back in OG TBC. Today. On September 3rd, 2023.

I’ll wait.

I remember the only way I could do this is when they added cross realm zones. The first month there were groups farming these mounts and I got in quick, then it completely died out.

I don’t even think there has been a fix for this on retail still except for that one month surge.

WoD adds an alternative way to get Battle and Research Tokens, through a mission at your garrison

I guess I’ll wait for a few years xD

For real though? WoD table added TBC currency as a reward? That’s so weird. Or same currency was used else where?

Nope. I forget what it was, but it was some research missions about finding out how some Draenor area turned into what it was in Outland, and it gave those old tokens, probably because Blizzard by that point realized no one did Halaa anymore.

lmao that’s probably true.

I found it.

I couldn’t find any other missions tho with the same reward. There was also one with Apex crystal for Orgrilla.

You chose a single faction PvE server anyway, why do you think you are entitled to a pvp mount?
Also saying you didn’t play half of TBC while it was current.

You also can still farm it, if you have a second account or a horde friend…

Some servers weren’t always single faction.

Who hurt you?
Imagine being so against someone earning 2 mounts in other means due to game’s limitations in 2023. It’s a wild thought for you, clearly.

What about arena teams? You do know that they allowed cross-realm grouping for arena, right? I guess it’s their fault for not picking the right realm to form arena teams.

What about BGs? You do know that a’la Merc mode exists in the game because most people went horde at launch and were in queue for battle grounds for, sometimes, hours, as there weren’t enough alliance players PvPing.

What about Wintergrasp? What about all other, 25+ one sided servers. Should they be never allowed to do Wintergrasp?

Jesus mate. I’m sorry no one loves you. But no one does here either it seems.

PS: Pagle was 2:1 A:H at launch btw.

Pagle has had an insignificant amount of horde since before TBC launch.

Nobody, I just don’t think you’re capable of seeing the big picture vs your own wants.
Actually that entire paragraph you typed me of REE I’M TRIGGERED says it all.
Some things, actually MANY things in this game are a limited time offer. Do you also plead for an Amani War Bear? If they were to add a means to obtain it, is that fair to those who farmed it at the proper time? Not really.

In this situation, there absolutely IS a way to obtain the Halaa mounts on your own. Get creative. Put the work in.

There is also no reason to keep ZG time limited actually.

If one is flexing over ingame mounts, that didn’t require much skill to earn in the first place, only suggest that’s all about that person has IRL to show off.

Imagine being so salty over someone else’s collection of mounts.

I’d imagine you were beating the heck out of your PC when you learned that Naxx proto drakes weren’t going away lmao

Cringe. I feel bad for you.

P.S. if Amani can be earned as a current content, (aka scaled), it’s not a hand out either.
And if you were to read my post carefully, you’d see that I’ve asked for alternative ways to earn the currency given the current state of 99% of realms.
