Devouring Plague - Bugs & Broken Ability

First off, let me get this off my chest.

DP is EXTREMELY overtuned right now on top of being the most forgiving, complexity ridding ability in this game. There’s no point in my mind why this should have the ignite effect on top of the double duration pvp effect, but whatever.

BUT WHY WHEN YOU REFLECT IT DOES THE SPRIEST STILL HEAL?! Please tell me this is a bug.

Cool, fix it too.

You mean the honor talent that adds 6 seconds? It was given the ignite effect because the rotation was wonky in PvE.

Wouldn’t say it’s the most forgiving because you still have to CC those with a disease dispel or its just stripped off.

I love it stacks because bad priests still stack 3 and then not cc. Causing dispel to all. Always funny. At 60 I think its not as bad. Mainly mind games and thoughtsteal. Which both I hate so much.

The people complaining about stacked DP make me laugh. There are abilities in the game that are actually busted you know. VT and SW:P do like no damage. Without DP Spriest does nothing outside of their main cooldown.

When warriors reflect haunt (when that was a thing) it still healed the warlock. I also miss the days when a warrior reflected death grip the DK actually got gripped to you

i do and i don’t. it was hilarious, but the modern version where it just fails is better suited to the goal of not getting connected to by the dk

mmm, true worked both ways as it could also displace the DK. I probably only remember the funny moments and not the times i gave the DK a free gap closer

I miss the Leap of Faith glyph where you could grip yourself to a teammate instead of to yourself.

are curses a problem or overtuned right now? havent played this boring prepatch much yet

When I saw that change in beta I knew it was going to go down well hahaha

I’m pretty sure a priest can dump 3 DPs on people, turn around 180 and start walking whilst the other person hopelessly runs around waiting for their death

It’s just no cd tongues or other things is semi oppressive into some comps.

Def troll to dispel tongues just to instantly get tongues again.

Idr how old curses worked tbh.

I mean, its kind of the point of curses to be oppressive but I get what you mean

imo what is missing is a curse of elements type (+damage), bc now you dont really have to shuffle curses depending on the situation (maybe weakness vs exhaustion)
then the warlock has to at least make decisions between offense and defense

putting a cd on curses would slow down gameplay a lot and stops you from managing curses on the entire team while managing dots, it would make the game much more linear imo

I liked in vanilla where you had to opt into agony or utility curses

At that point there’s a trade off

Feels odd to be able to just agony corruption insert utility curse applicable to that target be that weakness tongues etc

The aff leggo basically bakes CoE into corruption which feels even more odd

yeah that’s what I meant, in wrath agony was a curse but destro also had curse of elements which was a teamwide magic damage buff on the target

imo current curses are really nice utility but the biggest decision I have to make is between weakness/tongues or exhaustion snare, having damage as a decision option would make curse management very interesting and open up high skill ceiling

havent looked at leggos yet because the thought of leggos and more borrowed power genuinely depresses me
