Put in a ticket but it seems that CS is too lazy and resorts to sending me to wowhead for other PLAYERS to resolve it. I HAVE TRIED ALL THE OTHER SOLUTIONS!!! Literally read other forums and it says to contact support to get it fixed. No help. You wonder why no one is subbed to this anymore. Can someone get this fixed or do I just have to find another game to play?!
With the various breaches of the forum code of conduct, it sounds like you’ve already made up your mind.
It would help us to know exactly what you’re talking about, however. As players, we can’t see what you see and can only operate on the information you provide.
The quest “devoured” is bugged. you cannot finish the quest because of this bug. It says to contact support to get it resolved. Did not get resolved when I contacted support. Was directed to wowhead and other BS. Is this simple enough for you to understand?
Well, seeing as GMs are unable to fix bugs because you ticket them, their hands are tied.
No, as you are not stating WHAT your issue with the quest is. If you told us what is happening, we might be able to assist, but without the pertinent information, then nobody would be able to help, even CS.
Sorry for the frustration, Thorkh, but please watch the language when posting.
The response you received was just a template that is sent to all tickets identified as a quest issue during high volume as the initial response. If you notice at the end of that email it asks you to reopen your ticket if the advice provided doesn’t help.
This allows our staff to clear out tickets that they otherwise cannot assist with so that for situations like yours, they can more quickly get to you. Sorry for any confusion caused, it wasn’t meant to upset or ignore you.
Please reopen your ticket if you haven’t already. A Game Master will get to it as soon as they can and see what can be done.
It is a known bug with 9.0. GMs in forums say to contact and it will get fixed
Why does nobody read the full response to their ticket instead of posting garbage like this.
It actually says if after following the suggestions you still have an issue, you should reopen your ticket. I didnt have the same issue, but it was similar where it was said that GM’s could help. I reopened my ticket saying I still had the same issue and they did indeed help me out.
Do what the initial response said and re-open your ticket.
To be fair, Rakkard, it’s often just frustration and a little confusion over how our ticket and responses can work.
They may see what seems like a response that has nothing to do with their issue, or suggests things they said they tried already so they feel they were ignored.
I totally get it, and why I try just to point that part out and ask them to reopen.
I think when people get to this point, they stop reading the rest of the email, and the how-to-followup that follows it, gets lost.
There’s nothing Blizzard can do to force players to read the paragraph that says what to do if the listed troubleshooting steps don’t work. It wouldn’t matter where they put the paragraph. Even if it were the first paragraph players would “miss” it. At some point players have to stop blaming Blizzard when they are upset.
For the record, I have personally received the letter in question. I had a character that was simultaneously in four different phases of Stormwind so that none of the phasing quests could be completed.
I had actually already completed all the steps suggested in the email before opening the ticket. It was a bit frustrating getting the form letter because I had put in my ticket that I had done those steps. Form letters feel impersonal but they are the best way to give everyone the same information. I reopened my ticket and got my issue resolved.
