All games in their finished state (save for a few) have gone through various levels of “second looks” and have received second opinions from testers, the public, etc. If a game doesn’t sell well, do you believe the company wouldn’t seek the opinions of those that purchased it to see why they didn’t like it?
I didn’t exclaim anything, but okay.
It’s not off-topic; I was referring to their level of intelligence in a prior reply, and then followed up by saying that.
Additionally, do you shine your armor with wax, or how does it get to be so white? Perhaps it’s paint, rookie mistake.
Yeah this is so messed up, they got their game but we waited the longest for our version and Brian just shat on us all lmao. What a genuine pos thing to do, hope karma comes back to him.
Preference i suppose. I always hate joining other groups with loot competition. I also prefer not to play with certain types if i don’t gotta rather ask, “Yo what you want outa here?” Or ask them some random question. I’d rather not just join a group and leave because i don’t like Comp or personality before it starts and make my own.
Nah i get that. But you’re a pally aye, what if a warrior dps is forming the group. Or has one in the group. It’s not about reserve it’s about. “Why would i roll for the same piece.” He may say “Oh i don’t need it or want it.” but, why take the risk.
Like you said, it’s preference. Would I turn down the invite if I was Retribution and would possibly have to compete with an Arms Warrior? Possibly, but it would depend on a few factors (Am I confident I’d get another group for that dungeon/heroic? Do I have the time to find another group? ETC.)
Fair enough I’m curious none the less. Tanks can just say in LFG “LF one dps one healer.” Boom groups set and done. In this, if a plate dps will pst me they’re more humble and personable. So i’d prefer to take that over NPC mage who uses blizzard, i may not like that but. It def puts plate dps in a more entertaining merit based on personality spot.
Since most folks don’t enjoy tanking let alone leading, many plate dps would never if given the loot and chance take up the role even if it means they’ll spam LFG for hours on end.
Personally as a tank, and someone who ALWAYS forms his groups unless i’m helping a friend. It’s minutes and boom i got people. Now i’m combing into 4-9 whispers looking at class of them all saying the most generic “Inv.” With RDF that so takes away from the
“Yo my dude we’re plate brothers WE NEED to look out for eachother!” kind of whispers. You’ll get so many whacky interactions like that, even from just people in general that RDF takes away from. So i’m always curious on what other tanks feel or think on these kinda problems. Thanks for the insight.
‘‘Hello everyone i’m group leader zipzo, are you ready to do some wailing caverns? I know I am gosh golly hehe, umm, so what’s the game plan here? Who is going to be the off tank? Also, do you guys think we should invite a rogue so we can unlock the chests, or perhaps we should find ourselves a gnome with engineering who can blow the chests open with bombs, haha that would be pretty cool don’t you guys think?’’
Some random person in the group: ‘‘Whisper: Can we kick that guy please?’’.
I know people don’t like this, but i always feel so… old? when i see those kind of people, it just makes me whenever. Man i was 12 too in O.G vanilla and sorta had that mindset. It’s a good feeling, you remember "Wow this is just a damn big world people meet and do there stuff in. " Different folks eh?
I would never force that on anyone else. Free country do what you want. It is out our of power in a sense unless there is massive backlash. To which that is no fight of mine. But to those who want RDF enough, to massively push back.
I honestly have no opinion on the matter 100% I see both positives and negatives. I am more sympathetic to my dps friends. As they often say “When you’re not on getting a group sucks and i hate playing tank.” Is very common. and better they sit in a que to zerg rush to were they want to go then just wait for people to hop on. It’s a different mindset from a different time.
Fair enough. Don’t mean to sound accusatory, if I’m coming off that way I apologize.
Knowing that RDF isn’t coming possibly ever has made me reconsider my plans on what I want to play in wrath. Was planning on maining assassination rogue for most of the expansion, but with how hard it will be to get into groups I’m leaning more towards Paladin these days. Not sure how long I’m going to enjoy flipping back and forth from holy to ret for dailies and whatnot though.
I was 16-17 during Vanilla. Not sure if age played a massive role in the experience as it was.
Because that is what Blizzard has decided for their design focus on WOTLK-C.
It really can’t get more simple. This isn’t a joint project. This is their product, and you can speak with your wallet, play or don’t.
Unsurprisingly you always miss the point, but I don’t expect much from a forum-ban dodger who was literally banned for spamming to everyone they disagree with that they are a communist.
I would say a good number of my runs are probably pretty quiet when actually running through the dungeon.
Being chatty in groups is not why manual group forming needs to be preserved.
We’ve already pushed back for years against DF’s implementation in WOTLK, and Blizzard is finally showing that they’ve heard us.
If you’re going to “push back” recognize you’re pushing up against the players who already endured this fight to our ultimate success.
Good riddance to DF, and thank Blizz it’s finally gone.
Nah you’re good, I just type really weird, and yea this is a fundamental problem. Because I am one of those guy’s who say If you enjoy a class for the love of god roll it. But clearly that limits / screws you in the Dungi finding way. You should not be limited to how much you can play due to class. But on the other hand is there a fix outside of friend groups guilds etc? Even that goes so far. As if there’s a 1000 tanks and 10000000 DPS what can you do?
RDF is honestly in a sense a good way around it, because of player minset too. Not just the game, but people this time around at least in a majority don’t have the. "Well, listen i know we got Two rogues and one war dps for this SHH But Yolo let’s MAKE IT work. I have that mentality but most don’t and it’s 100% understandable as to why.
The problem is how do we fix getting more people fairly into dungi’s? There’s also how much of your personal wants to you trade for convince etc. So it’s a deep quest. I can’t honestly say anything for your situation as i don’t know you or anything but maybe look at a peice of paper and do a ben franklin close.
STOP SCREWING WITH THINGS!!! Get it functional and leave the rest of the things alone. If you guys screw with this, I will not be wasting my time playing it, nor will many others. For godsake, have you people not learned your lesson yet? sheesh
