Random question. I got a lock to 60 and wanted to try destro, but it just seems kinda clunky in AOE? For example, I’d drop cataclysm into demonfire, but then kinda twirl my thumbs until they’re off CD and toss an occasional rain of fire if the group was big enough. There’s no real consistency to it? I love the spell graphics of the spec, but it just wasn’t clicking. Not sure if that’s a common complaint or if I’m playing it wrong.
Single target it felt fine and flowed well.
You got Cataclysm right, but you want to also be using Havoc on cooldown on big AoE so you can incinerate spam and generate more shards, which you will then dump into Rain of Fire. AoE shouldn’t have any downtime as destro.

Oh good deal, thank you. I’ll give another couple dungeons a shot and lean more heavily on that
i crafted the 3 conflagrate legendary and it has helped me maintain RoF’s during AoE. I like the Cata CDF build better than the infernal build. Be sure to utilize havoc, even during AoE. Also, DO NOT HESITATE to use the Inf on a big AoE pull. Its damage is really powerful, especially if you choose the Rain of Chaos Infernal build.
I’m grateful… not sure if 5% will take us to aff but it’s something. Destro rotation feels nice. Have all the tools to do well in raids & m+, just the numbers weren’t there. A flat damage increase is actually what we need instead of any major tweaks.
Still need an actual rework to feel good and work in the current movement heavy meta that wow has nowadays.
Bettet than nothing? yes, will it fix it?, no.

I don’t thinks that’s true. We have 4 main AOEs in Destro and very spectacular-----and Havoc. we’ll see what happens after this update.

Will cooldowns be shortened?
Increased run speed?
Cast Fear, Coil and Howl etc. during silence, stun, Shadow Lock, etc.

5% blanket buff is traditionally Blizz’s diplomatic move to put a stop to whining and cut some losses from intended cancellations of subs. It makes no real difference in the game but people stay engaged hoping there’s more to come.

Definitely didn’t even make me consider continuing my sub. Now if they actually took the time to fix up these specs the way they deserve then maybe.

5% better then nothing but with 10 other classes also getting between 3-5 percent i think we will still be in about the same spot in the bottom 5. Although with less of a spread between the top and bottom we wont feel as broken.

I legit thought all along Destro would of at minimum got 10%… minimum…
