Well written post. Classic forums were always very friendly compared to General discussion, now it’s the other way around. I think Blizzard should have been moderating faction balance from the start. It would have made some people unhappy at the start, but would result in a much healthier PvP situation down the road.
Yeah I just tank for friends and guildmates now. At first everyone was nice and cool, then just turned into a ball of toxicity, I got pretty thick skin but I hate watching others get bullied or see people resort to blatant racism towards me or others. Same with Halo reach on pc tbh, kinda disappointed me.
Edit: I just don’t get it I guess, I dunno the kick out of belittling someone who says nothing or just doing their part, it’s pretty pathetic imo.
It’s not a modern game tho.

What are you talking about. I play maybe 2 hours a night if even. I play guitar a lot in my limited free time. I have twin daughters at 18 months old. Their mom works nights so when I finally get them down to bed, I have a couple free hours to me.
I learned that world questing isn’t a thing right now. It’s hard enough at 60 going out into the world just to tame a pet. There’s like 10 allies in winterspring and a full horde gank squad rolling the entire area looking for hks.
I decided to play smart, not hard. 50-52 I did ST and grinded mobs in hidden areas away from traffic. 52-56 I did BRD and spent most of the time corpse dragging to the entrance. 56–58 strictly scholo. 58-60 anything I wanted. When I hit 60 I basically had my preraid bis items.
If you’re failing over and over, you need to get smart and find the more optimal way to get to 60. Don’t ever talk about logic when you’re clearly assuming I have all this free play time.
Yet Blizzard had choices to mitigate the damage and chose not to.
I have never seen this on my PvE server. Players who get off on World PvP tend to be toxic. I mean, why else would you get excited about making someone who just spent 20 minutes working on an escort quest spend 20 more? I’m sorry, but I can’t understand how anyone could sign up for a PvP server without realizing what they were in for.
Well they wanted this because it adds that element of danger that the current team is so in love with. The vast majority of players aren’t in the game to lose hours of their time to danger every day. When Blizzard relearns this lesson, they will start making good games again.
Well of course they chose not to. Why should this be any different than anything else?
Why would anyone think that Blizzard suddenly reverted back to being a company that cared about its customers? Or its game for that matter?
First guild to clear naxx was horde
It’s the private servers. They were toxic cess pools. Now all those people are playing Classic.
Give it two days for BGs and let’s reassess the situation.
I still think the honor system encourages free HK’s in the form of ganking lowbies 49-54 or ganking groups … however with the #NoChanges crew at the helm very little can/will change there.
So we better hope the BGs are the silver bullet everyone is hoping for. It will certainly help a little bit.
You should have stopped there.
Really it comes down to if people roll on a pvp server then they got exactly what they rolled on. World PvP was never promised to be fair, balanced or otherwise.
To one was forced ever forced to roll on a PVP server and blizzard made it totally clear that servers were going to be several times the size of classic servers. All you’re doing is posting an another PvP whine with big words to flesh it out.

Other than that all you’re offering is smoke-filled coffee house crap.
OP turn on a TV. It’s not just the WoW community.
I’m not saying that you are wrong. The nerd over at Method’s website is. According to them the first Horde guild Nihilum didn’t clear Naxx until September 7, '06. 14 Alliance guilds vlogged kills before that starting in June. Like wise 8 Alliance guilds beat them in AQ 40 as well. The first, by 3 months.
Trolling is hard.
Thank you OP for an insightful, well-written account of your experience.
Also, thank you for baiting so many people into showing how lame they really are and how much they need to pump up their ego on a daily basis just to survive.
Look a bit deeper and you’re sure to find emotional issues that propel unkind behavior at strangers. People aren’t born mean.
I’ve learned to pity them instead of getting mad (but baiting them can also be fun).
Whos trolling?
FTFY! HHTH.

School may be one of those things you may want to consider worrying about rather than a video game.

I’ve been leveling a horde alt on Herod and it’s not that bad. Kind of funny with all the twinks camping questing areas in Hillsbrad, etc. But if you are alliance on a Horde dominated server, it would probably suck pretty bad.
