Deserter staying on while logged off now?

It’s a tiny chokepoint. Enough Alliance their and nothing gets through. its a pain for stealth to get past when everyone is AOE. 90% of the Horde losses that I have had have been from them holding that point and dragging the match out 45mins.

Ignores the entire area behind and in front of Bal…

in order to get past the gy and tower you have to go past them… it is a choke point if you use it right. Your thinking is a bit south…

Hrm, almost always win boss rushes when I’m playing Horde. Strange. Almost always win AV when defending choke as well. Just won an AV rush a couple of hours ago as horde.

You know you can go by snowfall and completely bypass shgy and shb.

There’s been a video posted multiple times showing both side reach the base flag within seconds of each other. Unfortunately I don’t have a link.

Horde can win a zerg but as someone mentioned before it’s a very risky strategy because if even a few defenders stay behind, they will slow you enough to lose the game .

A fluke. Only thing I can think of is maybe you logged out while still in the BG. So the debuff timer never started until you logged back in. What I do in those AVs is cap Snowfall gy lmao! If I’m going to leave anyways and suffer deserter, might as well leave a nice “thank you.” Of course, speaking of Alliance side only. Idk if Horde cares about Snowfall or not. :sunglasses:

this would be considered a dick move on horde side.

Weird cuz horde premades were totally fine to the hordes in Legion, lol. It’s good if horde have to work for their AV wins these days. And when they do win they better thank their defense.

i don’t see any thread getting derailed here tbh

In response to the OP’s question:

Yes. For a very long time now, the deserter debuff has paused while offline. It’s best to tab out logged in to let it fall off.

Wrong. Just left a BG, got deserter and am now watching it count down on my alt with the SavedInstances addon. Logged back on main after 15 minutes and deserter’s gone. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

You are still online though, the question is if you exit the game entirely, does it pause the deserter countdown (I SO hope it does).

It still counts down while offline.

Too bad, really.

Well, got two different takes on that lol.

idk since I can’t remember the last time I DC’ed and couldn’t get back in on time. It’s sounds like a step in the right direction if Erilir is right.

I just checked my lvl 113 Druid. Had to drop out last night.

/cry

ok not really, but it was a nice thought while it lasted.

Deserter defuff doesn’t count down unless i’m logged in, Yes I deserted the game intentionally, but that was better than me spamming hate into the chat and decided do you know what I need to take a break from this nonense…

My monthly sub shouldn’t count down unless I am logged into the game too then…
