It doesn’t have to be in Kul Tiras. I’m sure once Katherine finds out Jaina was with Derek, she’ll want to go to him. They are going to inevitably cross paths eventually.
that is assuming jaina tells her where derek is. jaina is the one who confirmed that he couldn’t return home, which implies she is being cautious about this.
