I suppose this is the most appropriate category to post this under as I am a customer and this relates to in-game matters, and apart from WoW Classic and Server Categories this is the only place I am allowed to post for some reason on the new forums.
In vanilla and tBC, warlock had the ability to speak demonic (as a learned language) simply by typing /demonic … It was a great little roleplay toy and allowed for some cross-faction fun before it was removed. It eventually returned in a nerfed form as we could speak demonic when under metamorphosis or the curse of tongues, but that form was removed and I am unsure whether curse of tongues still allows it.
I was excited for WoW-Classic because I assumed it would bring back a lot of things I missed, like demonic language for warlocks for example, but it did not. It was forgotten I suppose?
The demonic language returned again to retail with Demon-Hunters, but was not returned to Warlocks for some reason. An oversight? Simply forgot?
Warlocks can speak and understand it, as evidenced by multiple warlock quests, canon lore, etc… As well as the fact that we simply could in the past and now cannot.
All I’m asking is that the /demonic language be returned to warlocks, please. It makes no difference mechanically, cross-faction communication already exists in multiple in-character forms and is totally overcome by external and internal chat clients (battle net/discord). It’s only a toy that adds to the game and removing it only takes away.
TL;DR
I want warlocks to be able to speak demonic by typing /demonic again, like they used to. Warlocks can speak demonic fluently, evidenced by many quests and canon sources. Please?
