According to lore, Demon Hunters fuse a Demon’s soul to their own soul, and when they do that they get a vision of the Legion destroying worlds, and that vision is so horrifying that they claw their own eyes out.
That’s so dumb. If the vision comes from your soul, what’s the point of clawing your eyes out?
If closing your eyes doesn’t stop the visions, removing them won’t work either.

I thought it was so they wouldn’t be fooled by things their eyes see.
Although, I’ve seen the Den of Mortal Delights, and as the Bible says, “If your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out.” Makes sense to me.

How do you play through Legion and NOT hear that line a thousand thousand times. Hurte must be a very new player or at least have taken a break for Legion.
Remember when they went through all those tortuous trials. Permanently corrupted their souls, blinded themselves, etc.
Just for the draenei to beat the Legion.

Which lore is that? I’ve not once heard that before. The lore back in the day was that they ritually blind themselves to gain spectral sight.
