Demon Hunters and Life [Spoilers]

Nope. It’s why I want to re-write some aspects and embrace being canon divergent at this point. I’ve pissed off a few people by saying that in kaldorei discords.

I just can’t stomach the treatment that theyre giving night elves and even Worgen. I can write better scenarios on my own time.

I’ve seen people wing it and come up with better stuff than the entire dev team combined. It’s pettiness and sheer laziness at this point when it comes to the devs refusal to acknowledge our issues. They don’t care and I doubt they ever did or ever will

Which is honestly really sad to be honest. If this is the kind of writing thats being approved then War Within is going to be bad.

I loved Dragonflight. It’s honestly a good expansion. Blizz does really well when they stay away from the faction conflict and trying to desperately mimic Marvel and their universe.

It’s just angers me how childish they can be and their stubborn refusal to admit that they made some really horrible decisions with this IP that damaged its reputation for some people

That’s just humanity.

Yeah, but when you being payed is based on keeping us happy and playing, you’d think they would have a lot more humility to admit they screwed up

Most of the jobs I’ve worked all had the same culture. You screw up you were punished and possibly fired for it.

We are incentivized to not admit we made a mistake.

Speak for yourself. I openly admit my mistakes at work and offer myself to be fired because that’s my punishment.

After 11 years and making thousands of mistakes I’m baffled that I haven’t been fired.

I was going to argue this…

Instead, I’m just going to congratulate you on having a good job with what sound like good bosses. At least one of us does.

Oh no. It’s a crappy job with even worse management. It’s very very hard to get fired despite my efforts in wanting to get fired.

I live with a narcissist and am barred from quitting…if I get a new job I have to keep my current job. :upside_down_face: I’m also not allowed to move out and don’t make enough money to try.

And have applied to 100+ places but I’m convinced no one will hire me because they dont want someone thats been in retail for 11 years. So I’m stuck. Despite having a Bachelor’s degree amd experience being a receptionist and doing data entry work.

That’s impressive. My last two jobs, yes two, I got fired from because I was literally trained wrong and the person who trained me refused to own up to it…

That’s rough.

You know there are shelters for people who need protection right?

We’ve seen her purify Satyr twice, even. Once in Ashenvale and another in Azsuna.

Just having gotten this weapon on one of my Demon Hunter alts, though, there wasn’t anything about Elune attempting to purify Fel or not in this case. Opposite, as a Demon Hunter you were encouraged to infuse Fel into the weapon presented to you by a Dreamstag at the Temple of Elune.

That is so msny levels of messed up.

Yeah and again I don’t have the means to leave financially.

I don’t drive because I get really bad anxiety and other neurological issues that I was born with. I’m a lost cause and I’ve just accepted it more or less.

There is no hope and thats fine.

Edit: I’m not saying all of this for unsolicited advice but saying it for the hope you can walk a moment in my shoes and understand that things aren’t that rosey…

Something I understand is hard for normal people. Wanted to clarify my intent so it didn’t get misconstrued.

Just a suggestion, don’t give up on yourself.

I’m well aware of how broken we can be.

I will just toss in a note that Elune does not interject and fix things for people, normally. She will give you to tools to do it yourself, but she won’t undo your mistakes. The Satyr who was cleansed sacrificed his own life to earn that level of transformative intervention. Ysera lay dying and was particularly beloved by Elune.

It is a slippery slope of deus ex machina where you can then go “why didn’t Elune fix X” if you have her start meddling a lot.

Also: “The vassal of of Life disguises treachery” is still lingering as a possible thorn in our sides. It does seem sort of a Dreadlord-y thing to do, promoting the use of Fel disguised as a benevolent being of nature.

Thats the thing if the demon hunter shows any sort of repentence or sacrifices themselves then she would intervene.

However the demon hunter in this case isn’t.

I still wish Q’onzu and the anguished spirit that bonded to Shandris would have been Dreadlords to have resolve this.

Q’onzu is a decent, if misguided, character. Them being a dreadlord would be painfully boring.
It’s understandable why they see the ordering of the Dream as stagnating it, and as such, might really represent life in its truest form- a messy, chaotic system in constant flux, barely kept in equilibrium.

What irks me though is for someone who talks a lot about change, we didn’t really see them do anything to spark it.

So instead of Elune forgiving the Demon Hunter, like Avrus Illwhisper, she accepts him for who he is? Sure thing. Then why were Night Elf Denon Hunters ever considered outcasts?
