Level 72 demo lock here doing lots of dungeon runs for xp and noticed my spec feels broken op for aoe situations.
I’m curious if demo stays broken op at max level or do other classes start getting stronger with better gear?
It stays broken as a support dps. Seed will always be broken though.
What do you mean by support dps?
Affliction pulls ahead as a warlock spec the longer the fights are due to an insanely OP execute drain soul. Demo will fall behind in flat damage but they also bring one of the best raid buffs in the game that provides spell power whenever their pet crits. During meta you will always be strong.

Demonology remains strong throughout Wotlk. Aff is technically better, but that doesn’t mean Demo is bad. Every raid wants atleast 1 Demo lock for their SP buff. In dungeons Demo outshines Aff simply because fights are shorter. All warlock specs are viable in all PvE content, play what you think is most fun.

Demo Lock falls down into the A - Tier towards phase 4. Affliction stays S Tier - throughout the expansion. But there is always a need for 1 Demo Lock in every raid/group
