OP, you may think they suck then maybe don’t do them. Let me guess you expected them to be super easy.
You do NOT need to be a tank in solo delves. You also don’t have to try T8+ right away either, progress to it if needed. Some classes/specs will probably have to do that.
Not sure why people think they have to over come challenges right away.
Yeah whoever is overseeing the Delves needs to be fired asap, what uckin hot trash it has become. Blizz does an alright launch and then the bed with its progression, locked behind mongaloid mechs, worse than torghast. And on top of that they censor my speech. Thought you had to be an adult to use the internet, Kinda wild that pg-13 rules are now censored online. cant even type S * * * online… what a time we live in.

My priest and pally, both as dps have had been able to run delves 20ilevel below the suggested item level with only minor issues.
Why would people do delves for gear when they have no use for the lower ilvl gear???

Now I’m having trouble believing you.
Because of this post I just went and did Waterworks T8 solo as a 597 ilvl frost mage (no tier pieces). I know the scenario is different than it was when this post was made, but the enemies aren’t meaningfully different.
I completed it with 1 death (to that mushroom miniboss that I shouldn’t have even bothered with because the ability isn’t worth it). It took 25 minutes, so it wasn’t a walk in the park, but I also don’t expect it to be when I’m not overgearing the content.
I think all classes take the same damage as far as armor type
If Bronzebeard is set to healer, all he will do is drop flasks that you have to pick up to get healed. As a DPS he will drop Traps that add a stacking debuff on the enemy, thing is you need to kite them through those traps.
look into how you can become less squishy like with gems, glyphs and such. look into your toons aoe so it works better on groups, get some healing flasks
I have died once while cleaeing 8s as a frostfire mage. My longest run was around 30 minutes and that was a sinkhole run. Ilvl for my first 8 was 577 as well. I am skeptical that someone with 4 set and ilvl over 600 is struggling on 8s.
Op if 8s are too hard just do 7s they drop the same champion gear just 2 upgrades lower.

Exactly. I just left a level 8 delve with 599 gear level because Bran kept dying and I ran out of lives. It’s upsetting that I keep wasting my time here. There is no sense of accomplishment or progress with his system

You can literally spec tank and see the difference.
DPS with brann healing = much faster clears than tank with brann dps or brann heal.
meanwhile mages have beaten zekvir at like 576 gear and have no problem clearing.
Are you ccing anything at all? How are you taking so long that brann is dying?
I have been super frustrated with delves especially with what’s his face. He is absolutely useless in delves plus 5. i have never been so frustrated in my life. he doesn’t heal nor dps. it makes no sense to have him with you.
Well cloth dosent have to do like 50% of mechs so i guess it evens out
My partner and I have been running delves very casually since the release. We loved that we could move at our own pace through each one and didn’t feel rushed by other players if we needed to step afk. We slowly worked our way up through the tiers and could get through 8s without issue as of early last week at around 580 gear.
We tried another 8 last night and the difficulty felt like a very sharp increase compared to last week’s runs. We went back down to 7 and it still felt more difficult than the 8s we did last week. I was really enjoying delves and they felt like a steady increase in difficult per tier. Maybe Blizzard planned for them to be harder from the start of the expansion and buffed them? It feels like we should just plan to run mythics and drop delves all together.
