The solo route taking longer than the group route is under the assumption that the solo route is content truly meant for solo players taking longer to gear up than content requiring groups (dungeons or raids). But delves are not a solo route at all if they so heavily incentivize groups with their scaling.
Delves taking longer is to be expected. The issue is that they seem to be designed for group play with the way they scale.
By virtue of scaling one to five group members, it has already incentivised to that end though.
Dungeons do not scale their difficulty downwards based on having a party size smaller than 5. Not even the lowest in terms of difficulty in follower and normal dungeons.
But Delves do, so itâs far easier to find 1-2 friends who are willing to stick it out to mentor you while you learn the game as a newer, inexperienced player, than having to find 4 friends for the same.
Tier 8 delves wall solo are harder than Mythic zero dungeons and have better Rewards. As a player who does not abide by The Meta and just does things his own way and still gets content done up to and including Mythic raids and keys higher than where the rewards stop, I will say one simple thing.
Toxicity breeds toxicity. Thereâs no reason to blame the system for toxic players, toxic players will make it toxic no matter what system they are in.
Yes, delves are quite clearly group content. It is the obvious meta for the content. Meta is dictated by design. Doing it solo is just a novelty for somebody uninterested in playing efficiently⌠which is literally like no MMO player.
Delves arenât perfect and could do with some tuning passes etc, but Iâm a casual player, the very opposite of a min/max type player, and Iâm doing tier 8âs solo
Its black or white then? All game modes are the same? Blizz said this was a 4th pillar. While Raid and M+ may have similar gearing paths, you would have to admit that PVP is very different. It is its own âpillarâ as they call it and is designed differently. Delves have a different design philosophy as well, so thatâs why your argument is a false equivalence.
No, Iâm saying if somebody says or believes that it does not matter how others acquire their gear, as thereâs no competitive nature to MMOs when it comes to gear progression, then they cannot just decide thatâs not true for content they prefer. Iâm pointing out hypocrisy of forum users. Blizzard can design their game however they want.
sums up the âsolo playerâ mindset. itâs usually always just Im casual and give me free gear pls. That said I think that group players should lose revives immediately on death, the fact that all 5 can die and they only spend one revive is incorrect. A good compromise, easier delves in a group but if you have people playing bad you fail.
