Delves being “too rewarding” is not a problem created by delve players

This is technically my main, though I swapped off him for the most part due to how DPS is suffering in M+. I haven’t posted on any of my tanks and healers though. Before this character I posted on a character called Manfighting from the start of TBCC through the end of DF, though I spent the majority of my time in the arena forums.

If you are implying that I might be posting on multiple characters in this thread I accept yet another admission of you having no valid position. I’m actually accepting two in this post since Lucrend directed me to this post of yours that I missed as another of his endless evasions. Can’t ascent to his beliefs being pinned down lest he actually have to be consistent instead of just saying whatever makes him feel good.

You mean the entire game? Because uh, I don’t know a single person that will willingly engage with content if it isn’t sufficiently rewarding. Delves are too easy for what they reward, but lowering those rewards by a track will only serve to kill interest in delves. The vast majority of people who engaged with them did so specifically because of the rewards, not because they felt the content was fun, well-paced, or what have you.

Simply put, delves suck. Those rewards are the only thing they have going for them.

No, it wouldn’t. For people that don’t do other content, delves are still rewarding.

Then do explain why delve participation numbers hit rock bottom as soon as there was no longer anything to be gained.

Because it doesn’t matter what the ilvl is just as long as number go up?

Except it does matter, and that’s part of the problem. People are very conscious of item level. The lack of it has played a major role in WoW’s problem retaining the average player for longer than a few months.

No, then they would be complaining we aren’t over ilvl 1000 which was Legion numbers.

You know damn well I’m talking about item level as compared to other players. Stop being obtuse, I know it’s intentional.

Why care about ilvl of people they don’t play with? And it’s still low vs mythic raiders.

Not true if you put on Delve tiers the “Recommended ilvl.630” right besides each.

If the gap between a endgame pillar and a world quest is minimun, it doesnt feel good. At all.

Delves gear need to give rewards above Heroic. The audience of Delves is already used to farm Heroic Dungeons and LFR. Having Heroic 2.0 with Heroic 2.0 rewards, make Delves feel pointless.

Aint an endgame core loop anymore, its just another option if you do not feel like going into a queue.

Because that’s just how a lot of people are wired. I agree it’s kinda silly, but it is what it is.

In any case, the solution is probably moving hero track rewards to tier 10-11 instead of taking them away entirely. 10s are comparable in difficulty to at least the first four bosses in heroic Nerub-ar Palace.

And that would be knocked down to 600 or something.

I only care about the ilvls of people I play with or am in competition for spots in groups.

Care to elaborate on this, then?

It circles back to my 2nd point.

I am in competition for spots when I pug. If they have lower ilvl, I have a higher chance of being invited.

Watching the loot Karen twist himself into a pretzel to explain this away :popcorn:
