How’s it going for you? I only did a 4 yesterday as Devastation and found it relatively easy but fun. Has anyone completed an 8? Would you say it was really hard given our limited defensive options? I’m still weighting if I should do solo delves with my evoker since I mainly play Preservation.
I could’ve completed an eight solo but mob fell through the floor.
And the other eight I did, couldn’t complete it solo at all.
Did all of them via group.

I’m not an amazing player.
The lack of great defensives with Evoker makes it in my opinion quite difficult.
Tier 7 is doable solo, Tier 8 I can’t get a clear. Brann is lvl 11? and not BiS items on him.
I’m lvl 582.

Did up to tier 7 solo last night relatively easily, using Brann as a lvl 15 healer. All runs were deathless. Was ilvl 587 at the time. But I ran out of time to do tier 8 prior to raiding.
I dont expect it’ll be too difficult with a little planning.

Running them as pres with the right curios on brann has been the easiest for me.
Have cleared 8s at ~600 ilvl with a level 20 brann.

I can finish 8s solo as Augmentation but not devastation. Tried a 9 underkeep and got rocked tho. 8 seems to be my solo limit until I get better gear.
Completed solo delve 8 without deaths with Aug.
What curios did you run on Brann?
I have the 4/4 stacking enrage curio, and the other one is the one that changes size etc, I forget the name.

I’ve done all 8 delves at tier 8 solo as devastation. Waxface was very hard. Everything else was pretty reasonable as long as you don’t pull multiple packs.
Enrage curio is a trap from my experience.
It’s absolutely not a trap if you’re running pres. It’s disgusting if you keep it stacking and keep hots on brann to counteract the hp loss.
I’d never in a million years run it as a dps spec.
I knocked them out solo as Devastation. Was kind of rough at 592 ilvl and on Tier 8, but after getting item level, I’m more or less smashing them. The solo delves also got nerfed so shouldn’t be too much trouble but keeping Brann as a healer and picking up those potions is really important to stay alive through some spicier pulls.
Just IMO time means the most. Its just easier and faster to do Delves as a Group. Sure you can do 7s-8s solo but you have to be a lot more careful, and timid…takes longer.
Groups just steam roll, even with the Health increase I would rather group then solo.

Not anymore it’s not. We had a group of 4 people at 605+ ilvl and it was absurd. I swapped to pres and ran it solo and had zero issue.
I just hit 80 so will give it a try. I hear it’s easy as preserv so will go this way. Pres always been my favorite of the 3.
I ran only Delves on my tank druid and was only very hard in rank 8 but not impossible
Really feeling those weak defenses. Augmentation is a no-go since it’s weak without a group, and Devastation is made of paper. The best way to complete delves solo seems to be Preservation, as it gives you a sizable bump to your defenses while still outputting more damage than Aug.
That’s not to say you can’t do them as Devastation, mind. That’s the spec I normally try to stick with. Just requires a lot more effort to keep yourself alive.
The difference between it and my comically undergeared UHDK is like night and day. The DK can just walk through things I’d be white knuckling through on my Evoker.

I’m getting through t8s ok as Dev. I did 1 yesterday and then another today. Some are more ridiculous as others for sure. Earthcrawl Mines was a pita at first ( but I got a few pieces of gear and beat this today ) and then Nightfall sanctum was cake.
I posted something similar in a another thread, but to paraphrase:
I started clearing 8s as Devastation at 572 ilvl and had to play super carefully and defensively using a level 15 brann as a healer. Kiting and very precise cooldown/defensive management, cc and interrupts, etc… were all super important. Def needed to go slow and fight as few enemies at a time as possible. At 581 it’s starting to feel a bit smoother, but even regular mobs are still deadly. Overall it’s doable, but feels a lot harder than it does on other, tankier classes.
I was able to do an 8 on my warlock but failed on evoker and priest.
