People wanted solo content with end gear, now people say they are hard lol
Solo players =/= Unskilled players.
Casual players =/= Unskilled players.
The “elite” players, as you put it, just rush to the end and eat up all the content but ultimately it is not designed to keep those players engaged in it.
Delves are rewarding for the challenge, and are accessible for solo players who don’t want to go through raids or M+, they will be able to end the season in Hero-path gear, one tier below the highest level gear, without doing group content.

This is really the big point right here. For all the people who want to progress more casually: the recommended ilevel for tier 8 is 600. If you want delves to be your main method of progression then start doing lower tiers and build up to them. Tier 8+ isn’t the start of gearing, it’s clearly meant to be the end of season 1 for delves

I’ve been soloing Tier 8 Bountiful Delves since the season started, but I’m a Guardian Druid so others’ mileage may vary.

Yes, absolutely. They can gear up in lower level delves, and get especially strong loot (for their delve level) by using the treasure maps or by getting their delve vault reward at the start of every week.

They need to at least double the amount of obtainable keys per week imo, 28 bountiful per week and only 4 - 6 keys is a bit lacking

Delves were always going to become irrelevant once M+ came out, regardless of bugs or nerfs. The only reason Delves were semi useful was because ppl saved bountiful keys. The gear is just ilvl boosts atm but M+ and raiding will always have the best gear, Delves are just world drops
Casual world content for coffer keys, coffer keys for bountifuls that give champion gear, while working on delves get maps for hero gear and then hero gear in vault.
People who just world content + delve are gonna be full hero gear eventually which is soooo crazy powerful.

This is the first time they spoke of it, and its always been said it will be progressive system where you need the gear to tackle content you couldn’t before. It was always described as an ENDGAME Pillar. There is nothing where they said Casual.
Anyways. if you find a place where they said casual give me that time stamp and I’ll listen again but your hearing things I think. They did describe it as role agnostic where they can work on but nothing about it being “Casual” They did describe some things that real casual people enjoy but not in the termonology of players that don’t do difficult content.

I got my best upgrades from delves. Just make Bran a healer, pull 1 pack at a time and pray for a map.
Do 2-3 delves a day if ur not into it for gear then jump into m+
Overall whoever is raging at “solo content” delve being terrible, didn’t do Islands, Nzoth visions or Torghast enough to understand bad design.

Yeah compared to visions, Torghast and the like (which I did enjoy them), the ability to play these without timer or leave and re-enter - and not burn a key like in visions - is pretty damn cool.

No, because it being designed for casuals/solo players doesn’t exclude it from being an endgame activity and endgame pillar requiring progression. You just do it as a casual doing it at a casual pace (which is quite literally the only thing ‘casual’ means in actuality).
This is gonna blow your mind but you do realize that there’s even casual mythic raiders, right?
There’s folks who push into M+ 20s and above as casuals. You do realize this, right?
Casual indicates that you play the game casually. Not that you play it poorly or in any way shape or form that would make what you said make any sense.
Sincerely, get off from the forums and meet people. Maybe then you’d learn more about how players playing the game actually play and how folks view the game.
