Again, people seem to not get what the actual issue that people are upset about here is.
M+ Players do not give a darn if solo players are getting loot, thats fine, go do your thing boo boo have fun. No one is here caring about that.
M+ players are annoyed at how horribly balanced the the M+ brackets are at the moment because when you compare them to delves the difficulty to actually do one vs the other is not nearly on par with either.
Its not a matter of “Screw delves and delvers.” its a matter of “Hey M+ is kinda way outta wack and you can use delves as a metric to show how outta wack they are.”
I have my personal takes on delves, i think the rewards are fine, i think the volume of rewards is to much and is going to result in many players reaching the end of the rope very quickly and then left with little to do, but thats my opinion on it.
The balance of difficulty vs reward and a few personal issues aside, delves are a really solid foundation for endgame progression.
It’s nice to have something I can run solo or just with a few friends, that doesn’t have a timer, and that has proper progression built into it as core endgame content rather than relying on stepping stones to dungeons/raids that even a casual player can blow through in little to no time at all.
And that’s completely valid. And, personally, welcome. It means there’s a finish line. And when I cross it, hey. I can work on another character. Or something else.
I don’t have to keep chugging away at this all the time.
Wanna know whats wild? I actually dont think Mythic+ should be dropping mythic gear, i also am not a fan of it dropping tier either. I think to get the catalyst item you need to get it out of the raid.
I don’t think it’s even a Delve issue but more of a M+ issue. Blizzard made content harder once again for no good reason, most people don’t want to deal with that and want decent gear/progression.
I’d be doing M+ myself atm but I’ve had limited time to play WoW recently sadly because of internet issues (I only have time to PvP and do a few Delves on the side sadly), and I think I would rather get into raiding again with how difficult people say M+ is now. I’m just not a fan of Blizzard making the game more and more difficult every expansion.
Ill be doing it either way because im a masochists’, but this is more just as you said, blizzard randomly making things harder for no good reason. and the balance being WAY off for what its rewarding as a result.
Because thats kind of what most do. And theres multiple seasons. Youll get more gear as the expansions carry on. Cant solo a raid this season, try it next season.
And i could not care less what solo players get for rewards. I simply want rewards to match difficulties, as ive outlined before.
More hard core is certainly a thing some people really like. But if you want casuals to agree, they would prefer you made Keys easier, not delves less rewarding.
Now if we wanted to have the discussion over how much loot is to much loot, and at what speed that is another topic at hand.
My personal outlook on it? I think the delves are handing out to much loot, if it was actually limited to 4 items a week, i think it would be totally fine, but with 8 items, heroic maps, and vault all at once, i think its dropping loot so fast taht people are going to outpace the desire to do them.
