Delves are popular

They give 610~ish loot from your Bountiful chest instead of 597/603 (I think).

They give a 610 loot drop in addition to the 603. My last delve I got a 603 2h sword and 610 pants. What a great run.

Ah, okay. I had only found the one map they give you as a freebie when introducing Xekvir.

Because, M+ players want M+ to be the only way to grind gear.

Honestly, I think Blizzard started to realize that having this be the only content outside of raids was a huge problem for the game.

You don’t have to worry about it.

The vast majority of unskilled and bad player won’t be able to outgear you, you will be far far away from them.

I definitely miss being able to dial in the difficulty of m+ under the old system.

Feel like chilling but want to practice m+? Run some keys under 10.

Feeling sweaty and want to push? Go for the teens and up.

Now you can do casual normal mythics that don’t really prepare you for timed runs or jump straight into serious business. The learning curve is all sorts of jacked up and lower pug keys feel way more oppressive than I think they should.

You doing okay? Projecting kind of hard there.

We’re simply discussing the target audience vs the overall overlap

I’m liking them as well. The ability to stop if I need to without wrecking someone else’s run is key for me.

I think that’ll be the thing that honestly adjusts it’s reward structure then, it’s too much of a golden carrot as is today.

It really is, truth be told i could see this being changed into T8 dropping vet gear, Maps dropping champ gear but maybe increase their chance of dropping.

I also think they need to expand and make T9,10, and 11 alter the rewards as well.

I know some people will hate it but i really think that they need to bump it up so that T10 is the one thats dropping champ gear and giving Heroic items in the vault.
Even then, T10s are not hard either.

Why, exactly? Who benefits from that?

It’s not going to stop M+ puggers from whining, if that’s what you think.

It seems like most players are using this addition. Why nerf the reward of the content that people are actually using, in order to buff the validity of the content people are trying to get around. M+ is still in the game and even gives better gear at high ranks. But many many many people don’t want to struggle with the game they are wasting their time with. As soon as it becomes a struggle I’ll quite wow again, it’s just not worth my money if it’s not something fun and easy for me to do with my wife.

I still find them slow an boring and enemies are still nothing more then damage sponges while adding nothing extra.

Why is that a bad thing? M+ will most definitely outpace delves for gear very soon. The overlap for a couple of weeks is so minuscule it doesn’t matter.

Get rid of gear altogether. Turn it into a template system with 5 tiers of difficulty and attach pets/mounts/mogs/ collectibles as rewards.

Everyone can still gear up reasonably in the overworld, solo challenge still exists, one you can tailor fit to your desired results, and its not impeding on group content progression

Players being pushed into doing more intersting content, considering that after 8 there is no reason to do T9,10, and 11 other then bragging rights.

The amount of gear coming from Devles is nuts right now, and its actually beneficial to the casual player because it then gives them a reason to keep playing and trying to push into harder content even if slowly. Right now, casual players who are all on here cheering and claiming that delves are the greatest thing ever, are going to be back here in a week or 2 complaining about delves being boring and not rewarding anything.

Delves currently give out way to much loot at way to high of a level, casuals are going to burn through it so incredibly fast. Hell I passed the need of champ gear in the the first week because of how much loot delves gave out. I do them now because im bored and they are still fresh enough to be intersting. I just got Immortal spelunker, which allegedly is recommended for 623 ilvl but i did it at 608.

The gravy train is a very short ride, and when it ends people are going to be left wanting more and wont find any.

Delves just need mythic tracking.

Why? Legit, why?

You can really tell who’s actually jaded about Delves.

You are correct but the issue with it, and the issue m+ players are trying to bring up is that right now the tuning and effort needed for it is beyond scuffed at the moment.
Devles also invalidate everything below a 7 because blizzard shuffled around when Heroic items drop and then squished the m+ levels so its even more difficult.

None of this would be an issue if they never squished delves. Then loot from low and mid tier keys would be highly reasonable to that of Delve 8.
