Yes, it’s a good choice for players solely focused on progression. If pet battles awarded the best progression choice, you’d probably be here saying the same things.
I think there’s a few blind spots in the community. Good players don’t understand how difficult the game can be for newcommers, or people with less ability, and people with less ability don’t understand how high the skill ceiling goes.
Like i think an average player may struggle with tiers 7,8, because there are some things that could 1-2 shot you, even with good gear. Im talking solo delves.
A good player will probably find it much easier. I died once to get to tier 9, and beat Zekvir ?, and I’d consider myself average, but maybe my perception of that is messed up. Theres probably such a vast spectrum of skill in this game. That im not sure saying delves are free is accurate to most of the community.

there is not 1 single delve player in this game that is 619.
impossible. they would of had all champion pieces and 1 heroic piece out of the vault so far. for you to even say that, it is beyond laughable. champion gear only goes to 619. and due to the crest caps you can only have 180 runed crests so far making it impossible to even be above 610 if you are stickly doing delves.

Not to mention delves barely give you crests to begin with.
I don’t get why M+ players are so mad when M+ is still the most lucrative way to farm gear in the game.

M+ player cry because they feel forced to run delves for 616 loot.
Most of them should just not do them because nobody are forcing them to do them.
Its a fomo mentality player created themself.

that is the point.
there are a group of people, apparently a large group who want to see some progress on their character without having to deal with people they dont necessarily want to group with or deal with. they would rather do something alone or with 2-3 friends that they can enjoy their time in the game with while still doing something meaningful.

This will even out when more people are proving heroic and the ilvl difference increases. Everyone is at the same ilvl right now but won’t be in a week. People that are farming solely delves are hard locked at like what 619-626 ilvl?
The better players will push more into heroic and have it on farm will be happy once again

Tbf, it’s not just one piece of hero gear
You also get them from maps, I’ve seen like 4-5 hero pieces
While I can’t speak for the community, I love delves myself and plan to always do them. Great addition to the game imo.

you are more than geared for 5s.
you are geared enough for 7-8 actually.
just keep practicing on non bountifuls and you got it. hoard your relic keys till you are comfortable with them.
7s are relaxing for me, but everyone has their own comfort level.
Maybe it has changed difficulty-wise, I haven’t done too many after failing a Dread Pit 5.

yes. i was actually just in a delve while replying here and i just got one of those. delvers bounty.
but yea. delves are good. i dont know what m+ people are whining about. nobody hates m+ as much as i do. in fact, IMO m+ ruined world of warcraft. like destroyed it beyond repair. BUT, i do it because i have easy access to mythic gear without needing a schedule or a guild.
now with delves my wife loves it and she can get champion and hero gear with me helping her. she hates m+ and raiding. so its a win win for players like her and a win win for blizzard.
the tears will dry up from these other players soon enough.

Im one of those player, and i don’t even do delves with friends, because where i stand and where im at im dont need key anymore, so i run delves for crest and chance at map.
I don’t want to carry them if they are not willing to progress.
Some of my friend don’t stop asking me to run delves with +8 but wont complet a +7 alone because they dont want to follow the progressive curve.
Yea, I’m a m+ player but I don’t see delves as a bad thing at all, they’re fun content to do when the group isn’t around
I do see blizzard caving to the whining and nerfing the loot in season 2 though

Because that would be true.
If pet battles awarded Heroic vault slot, you’d see a spike in pet battles done for the first few weeks of a season.
Doesnt really matter who the target audience is…if it can be used as a stepping stone, it will be
Oh, if you did them early on it has definitely been made easier. You’ll probably destroy that T5 if you try again.
If this were highschool, Delves would be the new hunk at school that all the girls and some of the guys think is gorgeous and the rest of the guys resent because now nobody wants to play with them.

I hear you on the lack of maps. I have seen 1 in +50 delve runs. Why are they such a low drop rate?
