We all pay the same subscription and pay for expansions. I don’t see a “preferred sub” where the elite crowd pays 10 dollars extra.
Delves are probably the best content since Legion for me personally. Its sad that the elite crowd wants to botch them too. They benefitted and now cry about the reward because casuals will get it too. It’s exhausting.
The sweaty players should give us casuals gear in tribute. We pay for this game to operate, which their whole self worth is reliant upon.
Another reason why blizz has pitched more to catering us as well. Now we just have to see if they hold to their word and not listen to bad faith actors.
Well, they sold delves as end game loot offering content… if they go back on that word that is like false advertising.
Delves are pretty easy and the reward is far to great for the effort required.
The common attitude is to do delves to gear up exclusively. And whilst I don’t mind, it is an indicator that the reward is too high for the effort put in.
I get nothing for doing them, therefore they are garbage for me.
I will only do what is required for quest completion and nothing more and vehemently hate every minute i am in one.
They are probably not as easy for a casual player logging in for an hour or two per day or every other day. Who doesn’t know their full kit and just wants to play with a friend or spouse. The delves are tuned challenging enough for the crowd they are intended for.
I get it, you raiders can’t control yourselves. Lol.
While it doesn’t exactly matter I’d have preferred if blizzard managed to keep the ilvl rewards for their content tracks at roughly equal difficulty. The target audience shouldn’t be relevant in that assessment.
Delves are completely optional. Do them or don’t. Infinite power grinds like what existed in Legion and BFA were bad.
Delves are not that.
For the past several expansions, M+ has been exclusively the best gearing system in the game by a massive margin.
It’s nice to see something go alongside that as a gearing path. Delve gearing is supplemental.
I was initially very much against the idea of soloable content having a competitive gearing path, but there are times when it’s nice to just not be an m+ zombie.
Sorry you dislike them, but Blizzard definitely found a winner here.
It’s heroic gear. And once a week from the vault… and the delve loot itself is capped at 4 per week starting now. The reward is balanced correctly. You can spam m+. All week 100 times if you want. Get infinitely more loot compared to a delve.
I think you just described the problem perfectly.
Not knowing a toolkit, is clearly a get better issue. And as a result, if you got better youd get better gear. The problem being, you dont want to put in the work to get better gear, ie be rewarded for not doing much.
Hence as I said, the reward for effort is not balanced in this case, and should be reduced.
I classify myself as a bad player, however, I would like to get better, and put in those 2 hours I play into getting better, trying new content, watching guides in my spare time to get good at my hobby.
Then you should consider that delves only give 4 or 5 chances to loot per week. And one potential item per week from the vault. While you can spam mythic plus indefinitely.
Reward is fine. Get over yourself.
NO they are NOT optional , you are Forced to do the mine crawl delve in Dorn to complete the campaign.
I am sure there are more examples where they are NOT optional.
It’s so weird when people take it this direction.
Maybe the reality is that players are confused by the difficulty : rewards ratio. As it stands right now, delves award strong ilvl for very low effort. Seems a bit skewed when compared against other forms of content.
Delves put out far less chances to get the gear though. Compared to mythic plus.

That’s weird. I’ve gotten a champion piece every single time I’ve run a delve. Can’t say the same about dungeons yet!

I’ve done tons of delves and most of my keys have been repeat cloaks and trinkets.
You understand how this point doesn’t really have any impact against what I’ve said, though.
You’re getting champion quality gear for meme level effort.
I think this thread is a great example of why the rewards in delves should be nerfed
