Heroics is not difficult content. Heroics is something you show up to at the start of the season without watching a single guide video and just faceroll after learning on the spot with 3 or 4 wipes. It’s as much of a loot pinata as delves, just with more people involved. You were NEVER facing challenges, with or without delves.
Problem is, the more they cry, the more Blizz pays attention. Which is why Titan made this thread. Because we’re all tired of the whiners getting their way.
WQs back to changing every day? Meltdown on the forums to get that change rescinded. Velfs weren’t Helfs? Another childlike fit until they were given Helf customizations. Dracthyr having two 3min cooldowns? Whiners again threw a fit with no logic and got Tail Swipe removed entirely. Gear too much for Delves? Let’s throw another toddler tantrum and see if that can’t be removed, as well.
This is the problem with the vocal minority: they win every time.
Yeah, since they deleted my guild’s key bracket, this is what we get now. So it’s nice that it exists. And if we have 8 people online, we can still run two groups. It works out well. Though I still miss keys.
Delves dropped, at max, Champion 3/8 for each key that you banked. That’s literally lower than some drops from normal, and the trinkets are weaker than dungeon and raid. The vault items were also capped at 3/6 heroic, lower than some heroic drops and vault items. I’d not call that overly rewarding, I’d call that relevant if you are trying to get every power boost in the first week of the season.
I mostly got capes for the first week.
Lol what? That’s gear in general. Delves have a lot of cloaks and trinkets, sure, but it’s not rare to get different slots, at all. Always a chance you get unlucky though.
Sure, you need keys.
Which active players banked like 10 of before Delves opened.
And in which you can get roughly 8 a week of without too much effort, with room for a couple more once you get the tier to buy keys from the coin vendor.
Keys, which guarantee loot, vs M+ having like a 40% chance to get loot per run.
The “lockout” on delves is entirely negligible.
i just feel like the delve gearing structure is perfect. you get 4x keys per week for champion gear which most players that do anything above do not even remotely close to need anymore. but then giving 1x heroic 616 vault item per week. that is good.
that will get many players foot in the door ilvl wise for mid to high mythic+ keys and heroic raid.
it is a really nice piece of side content that allows for an additional gearing path with a moderate difficulty for players that just want to do that or more.

It was all great and fine til it wasn’t. That point was usually when the complainers got all geared up as far as they could in that particular content and then wanted the rewards to be nerfed because they “felt compelled to do it”.
Which is a stupid way of thinking but there you go.
It also probably has to do with “I got mine so now you can’t get yours”, which is an even stupider way of thinking because, in this case the delves actually benefit everyone, especially those who are more competitive.
They get to gear up higher, faster and delves allow for other players to consider trying out for mythics and raiding and some of those trying the more competitive parts of the game are really good so it benefits them.
But they don’t see that. Because, well, you know. They’re being stupid in this one area.
That’s not to say all competitive players are like that. Just those who strategically complain about stupid stuff.
There’s always a reason for this and it’s almost always really dumb.
I want to add to this that I’m not dogpiling on a certain type of “complainer” on GD because we’ve all done this to some extent about something in our lives.
We usually outgrow it, too.
It’s just human nature but it’s so tiresome after awhile.
It’s almost a game for some people to do this. I just ignore them.
Your average casual isnt min maxxing key drops
i didnt even know you could buy keys until a week ago. And i’m one bar away from it.
Let’s change up that guy’s statement a bit.
Who cares about champion track garbage, period. It’s just normal raid level, and that’s literal vendor trash, not even worth upgrading.
Like i said earlier. Im fine with raiders and M+ doing delves. it shows the content is being done a lot. but for the raiders to then reap the benefits and call for the reward to be nerfed so casuals also dont get it… its so LOL
If that’s how you find Heroic not that difficult then Delves would be a JOKE to you. Joke or garbage, or whatever.
I think the best that can be done in my opinion is to TIMEGATE Delves. Wait for us to beat M+7 or Raid equivalent with just raid and M+ loots before releasing Delves Tier 8. Release Delves for those who want to catch up with us on M+7 and up. What happened is different. They gave us Delves before we reach M+7. M+7 and below became a faceroll. That is bad.
Again, not a problem, if you do mythic and raid is more likely you get better items and more there anyway.
And yes, a crapton of duplicates most of my gear is not even from those delves and i did a lot

Delves are a joke. The 603 drops stopped being upgrades for me by the first reset.
Why should the game cater to delusions lol. The devs literally spent months and months making the mythic raids. Go do them if you want difficulty. Their job is to make a good game, not to cater to your mistaken belief that you did something praiseworthy taking 2 months to get AotC.
People who run normal raids and M5 are just like the fishing/pet battle players, in that all 3 groups should not worry about the gearing process in this game, as it does not truly concern them.
It’s like Emerald Dream caches all over again.
It’s been great for me leveling alts with the XP you get from the quest you turn in after you complete one. Seems most people who are complaining are not happy with 8+ delves. I only have one character that has done one 8 successfully. I don’t do M+. You can call me a casusal though I play most everyday for 3+ hours. I am not gearing up for anything but the next deleve tier and the ocassional raid with my guild.
Please don’t change delves.

People who run normal raids, heroics, mythic raiding, and m+ are very happy that delves are dropping good gear. Besides, mechanically the game can be tuned in a way that gear is less of a factor. I was watching some of the worlds first races. Yes, they’re running delves too. They didn’t complain.
You are? How? I got like two more rewards to go before I unlock it and been doing bountiful delves everyday.
