The reward is balanced because there are only 4 to 5 chances to get delve loot per week, and also, of those 5 chances, there could be a massive amount of repeats. And only one potential real upgrade through the vault.
Mythic+ can be spammed infinitely, on the other hand.
I think it needs to be stressed heavily that +10s / Mythic loot from m+ is really hard to get right now. Harder than it’s ever really been. Bliz really put their foot down in terms of making raids and m+ progression of comparable difficulty award somewhat comparable rewards.

It’s been like that since classic I think…
I just hope Blizz listens to their metrics and not bad actors trying to make delve gearing invalid for casual players.
To the top 1%, casuals only deserve 554 gear it seems.
They can blow through content and get geared up like the pro player they are, but once they are done with it “Nope… blizzard. These are too easy compared to the reward you get! It should be truly nerfed.”
As it should be right? If you want the loot you have to progress as intended. And for the most part those that always push keys as high as they can will still do so regardless.
For me doing a solo T8 on various classes still kills me and some bosses are actually quite tough and can kill you pretty quick. Imo at least solo it’s a good challenge with a good reward, and one piece of heroic a week that might be an upgrade is cool.
Now the stat distribution isn’t ideal as well in Delves for everyone so that is also a thing.

I suspect those claiming they just want rewards to match the difficulty all ran delves to gear up. I’d put good money on it.
Imagine a M+ player so disturbed about delve gear, that he skips using them as an upgrade path.
We all know that’s not what happened. They ran the delves. Got decent loot, then said “I don’t want solo players getting this too”.

There’s 7-8 keys per week. Not 4-5.
Maps are roughly 1-10 bountifuls on average, so 1 every 2-3 days. Some get more, some get less. That’s a 610.
I’m not comparing T8 delves to +7 and up keys. Those are clearly better because they give hero track and are repeatable as opposed to vault rewards only.
I’m comparing T8 delves to m+ 3-5s, which give champion track for completion same as delves and would require you to run 20~ dungeons a week to match the rate of drops delves give. And while sure that loot is theoretically farmable, it takes a LOT of time to match it, let alone exceed it.
Once again, you’re the only person here who has said this.

Nobody here cares about you or your loot.
All I’ve said is for the level of effort required, in my experience, tier 8 delves award gear that is not in-line with the difficulty to achieve it when compared against other forms of content. It’s that simple.

A tier 8 takes me 30-40 minutes to finish.
Do M+ dungeons not give far more Valorstones and Crests compared to Delves? Don’t they have far more BiS gear in them?

No, my thread is a reaction to another thread saying delve loot is too rewarding.
There’s no way they held themselves from that gear. Min/Maxers are on upgrades like bugs are on poo. We are to believe they resisted the temptation to run delves and get good gear? No way in hell.
It’s about gaiting. None of them are saying “my delve gear is too powerful for M+” please scale it back because M+ is free. I haven’t seen that kind of topic anywhere.

The best trinkets in the game (Assuming equal ilvl) come from delves, with the exception of spymaster’s web which is a single caster trinket from the raid.
Valorstones you get more from delves and their associated content (Memories) than any other source.
I don’t think a trinket that saps 4k of a stat from you is a good trinket.
Really? The best trinkets in the game for my class I’ve seen come from the raid I could swear. But hey I don’t mind having the best trinkets woohoo!
