I do one tier 7 bountiful a day on my mage, and just started doing one a day on this druid.
Delves are my endgame. I’m the casual open world solo player they were designed for. So there was no way I was gonna smash all four bountiful each day till I ran out of keys and burn myself out in the process.
I’m enjoying Delves. Although, the yo-yo balancing has been annoying.
I think that may be why some people think delves are “too easy.” They did them back when they were way easier due to glitches and haven’t touched them since.
That’s right. Delves were insanely easy for groups when they came out. Well, not anymore. Now they are tuned correctly for the type of audience they are intended for.
lol, this is a mental health disorder or something.
They should just get of raiding entirely, so these raiders don’t feel like they have to ruin the game for everyone else because of their lack of self-restraint.
I won’t speak to difficulty because they are pretty challenging for me, but I like that I’m getting better gear compared to other expansions. I hope it carries over to season 2 and 3!
I hope delves as a whole grow to continue to challenge you and we eventually reach a more equal position. As it stands we’re not there though. I don’t want your rewards nerfed, I genuinely believe you can do something of comparable difficulty given the time / environment to experience and progress it free from judgement.
I ran solo delves until T8…I can say that I had to get gear to advance each tier, it wasnt just a cake walk. Then after last reset I did my first group…just me and a friend, did T3 and it was 3x harder than any solo T8 I did. I’ve since only ran 5m delves and it’s fun…it still takes a little time, it requires the toolkit and it’s rewarding. Not sure about pre-patch delves in a group, never tried that.
We’re not all “elitist” “omg so ez”. Nobody could pay me enough gold, literally no one to go and run M+ or spam bountifuls for gear. The ilvl of 597 I have right now I got from just upgrades, caches, LFR and Normal Raid drops.
I’ll be 600 ilvl after next week’s reset and only one piece out of all my gear actually comes from a Delve.
To be fair, i am not sure this is even a problem that can be solved. How do you make them rewarding for someone who’s entire gaming session is devoted to one single delve and the people who go through 8 in a day?
Keys and hidden troves were a good idea on paper, but in practise they are way to rewarding for anyone but the most super casual.
They’re mostly Tanks or people who actually have the proper item level or close to it to complete Tier 8+s. Certain classes also have an easier time getting through them. I could complete a tier 8 if I was willing to take my sweet time but Delves are just a nice gimmick for me on the side.
The only thing I really want from them is the currency to get that miniature Beldar’s Spawn pet. That’s it.
I just don’t agree this is a healthy place to be. All three PvE content pillars should award ilvl at comparable levels of difficulty. The idea that “The people who play this content are worse so the content should be easier at the same ilvl reward” just doesn’t make sense to me.
I don’t think people who enjoy / experience the game predominantly solo are inherently worse players.
