Delightful Experiences-- Post if you liked something!

Hello Blizzard!

Just thought I would make a thread to collect some positive community feedback about player in-game experiences so far, so you can take it and roll with it in the future.

I am finding the “Wildlife Rescue” quest quite delightful as a biologist, for instance, and I really enjoyed the options signing in the log book. So far in reading everything, although I have just started, the writing seems to have improved a bit. It was additionally nice seeing the mother and son characters from the starting zones in coming freshly off the boat to the Dragon Isles, as it added a sense of continuity to the game.

Additionally, the small things are amazing. I noticed a very defined escort quest zone on the map when you do the first proper escort. Very smooth-looking and clear for the new players, I am sure. I always think back to the Wrath Howling Fjord Escort quest as the antithesis of this concept, not knowing where the NPC will walk or strike next and have to run a mile back to his leash point. This nice blue pathing on the minimap was genius!

I also liked coming to the isles and seeing a critter in an NPC’s hand, and enjoyed the character spelunking for one of the first quests, as it showed creative use of 3 dimensions for storytelling! I liked having to think about how to climb down and click him without falling in the lava!

Thank you for all your hard work!

Have a lovely day!

I’m thrilled with dragon-riding and the initial xpac experience. Having a blast.

Some of these quests are really pleasant and even emotional, but more than that, i love the culture of the red dragonflight. They’re not just war protectors, they’re really nourishing all life, caring for their offspring, maintaining a symbiotic relationship to their environment and its inhabitents. I love them.

So far so good. Dragon Riding spices up the questing experience a bit. Nice not being grounded for 6 months.

As soon as I discovered the races I completed all of the basic ones, then finished my glyphs, and now I am working on the rest of the talents by going through the campaign story.

Dragonriding has been a BLAST! I LOVE IT!

I liked that theres dialogue mentioning to not disturb the deaf centaurs dog since he’s a service animal.

Also helping the baby dragon with her ducky. I needed that dose of cute

I really like the amount of cutscenes it’s very nice.

Also the side quests are so great, really flesh out the zones well. My favorite so far was going fishing with a Draenei and a Tuskar. It was such a funny quest because the Draenei was bad at fishing lol.

The entire expansion has me thrilled. It’s a breath of fresh air for the game in my eyes.
So far, I’m on the last zone, and the quests all have been so amazing, the new systems for professions, dragonriding.
I said this to my friends and I’ll say it again, it feels like WoW is home again.

I loved that too!

I’m still in the Waking Shores but overall I’m really loving the profession revamp and the wide open maps for exploring and nosing around. I found some really pretty places and stayed awhile to fish.

Oh! And the music is excellent!

I got a good one. After everything last night abiut 30 mins of game play and 7 or so hours of trying. Sitting down next to the dwarf and talking to him was a freakin great exp. Well done blizzard. That quest cooled me down , I relaxed and really thought about some things. I fully believe this quest is trying to ya ya something. And also a subliminal reach out to talk to people in trouble and to talk to people if you are having trouble. I full y recommend listening and talking to him to the very end of the quest. As for the rest of what I have been thru since entering I’ll keep it to my self

Rosenivy has a soft spot for kids so I’m just picturing them being a little sad and having his ears perk up hearing the baby dragon crying. Cue “Goth but also a father” mode then determined sewing as they fixed the plush

Imagine a male version of Morticia

Liking everything except the world server crashes and the 1 hours dungeon que. Game itself is fantastic! Flying is fun too!

I played the DF beta. My most enjoyable moment was when I realized that Blizz hadn’t just created a faction leader that is deaf… they created one that uses sign language, an interpeter and a service animal (a dog-like creature) in ways that are completely natural for their people.

I have a 20 yr old daughter who was born with severe hearing loss who identifies as deaf. To see her - and people like her - represented by a strong, influential faction leader whom players MUST interact with in order to complete the main storyline was amazing.

Thank you Blizz… for creating a deaf character with all the right details and none of the horribly inaccurate stereotypes.

The talent trees; I’m back because of the talent trees. If they didn’t release the tree prior to the expansion, I probably never would have resubbed.

Jumping Lava spiders really surprised me. Nice prank by designers! Very engaging!

Took my Gnome Mage to DF this morning The happiest moment in DF was porting back to Ironforge.

I am done with this expansion.

I LOVE the environments. I really missed “normal” landscapes. Felt like I was going from barrens to skyrim, and I love both types. I hope they never go back to scifi like environments. Really no need to reinvent the wheel with this.

This kind of world is what high fantasy adventure is all about. They nailed it. So so good. Blown away. Extreme surprise.

That said, I don’t know how great endgame is, and that’s really the make it or break it. But the leveling experience, was amazing. I’m excited to try out the new profession system. Instead of reinventing wow, they seemed to have gone with refinement and expansion on what works.

STICK WITH THAT GUIDELINE FROM HERE ON OUT! GJ, Blizz. You deserve accolades for this.

I actually really enjoyed the optional side quest with the centaur’s dog Taivan. I won’t spoil it just in case, but it has a great ending.
