Can a gm just nuke this thread I got all the info needed from the starting question.
Bear in mind, it’s completely permanent and irreversible, and kills all battle.net games purchased in that account, not just WoW.
choices are ether spend hundreds of hours to level and gear all new toons or just quit wow.
How many toons did you level over 13 years?
So instead of leveling a few more, after the 400 you already leveled over 13 years, you want to nuke your account? Oh ok, seems reasonable.
To make it more clear, its over 400 deleted chars that the op had that is the issue.
I’d disagree about this being “a bug”. Your character didn’t vanish into thin air. Blizzard didn’t just make it disappear. Sure, they try to help out players by having restore options, but you shouldn’t rely on this.
Your first line of defense is yourself. You deleted it.
Creating another ticket is just you aggravating yourself considering you’ve been trying to make them work magic for 2 months at this point.

Again, you see this as “a feature”. It’s not.
Buddy, all I’m saying is, you found yourself in this position by deleting something you ended up regretting. Now you want to delete your entire account. I didn’t check, but I’m fairly positive there’s no “restore a battle.net account” option. So think about it.
I mean, that’s certainly your choice. But you’ve received responses from a Blizzard employee that your ticket has been escalated. Not sure what you want to accomplish here, but all you have to do is wait until they respond.
It’s not really a “bug”. You have SO MANY deleted characters that the system is having trouble accessing them all. That’s why your ticket was escalated.
In the end, having over 400 deleted characters is a massive accomplishment, and I don’t really mean that in a good way. Not judging your dedication to playing the game, but the Character Restore is not really meant for extra storage space to keep deleting and restoring characters. Character Restore is never a fully-guaranteed process, and it’s much more complicated now with the Warband feature that shares everything across a Bnet account.
And they will try their best. It’s been escalated. Nothing more is being asked of you except to wait.
Did you make another ticket around the time Vrak said yours had been escalated for further review? You may have just received a generic response to that one and not waited to see what the escalation has provided. This is a guess, I really don’t know.
You might just wait a bit longer to see if something can be done on the character restoration. You can always uninstall Battle.net and WoW without the account deletion.
Then don’t delete your characters over 400 times. Any other game is going to be the same way, and quite frankly, not all games even have a restoration option.
Yea… But the thing is deleting the toons is meant to be permanent and not meant to be as a reserve toon bank. Now it has escalated to a potential critical failure, that’s just how much it ballooned up to.
Yeah, things change. It’s much more difficult now with the Warbands feature, and it’s also why they’ve stopped doing transfers from Bnet to Bnet, and stopped moving licenses to different Bnet accounts.
But again, as has been said many times: Your ticket has been escalated. All you have to do is WAIT, and see what they say.
Some of the bug fixes are not retroactive.
Was this the result of the escalation, or simply another ticket you filed because you think you need more GM’s at your beck and call?
Also, there’s no “basically it said this…”. Copy/paste the response (with no identifying information), so we can see what was said.
No, you’re “screwed” because you decided to treat the Character Restoration as character storage, which is NOT it’s intended use. Your account, even with no restorations available, is free to play the game like everyone else.
You may not have access to your hundreds of deleted characters, but that’s the entire point of deleting them. You didn’t want them anymore.
And why are you so important that they should stop fixing those “1000’s of bugs” just to fix your personal account, especially when they issue is because of you abusing a feature they offer?

Ok so there you go. Keep your account not deleted. If they fix it, you’ll get an email and you might be able to restart playing.

Correct. Could be never.
