You can always decline the boost.
As a filthy casual, all I would want to do is to upgrade my gear to the max of its level - which I assume would be more than adequate for continuing to do that content or starting the next, if I felt so inclined. By doing that content, not by having to do content that I shouldnât be doing.
Elitists often repeat their claim that every casual wants mythic raid gear mailed to them for âfreeâ, as though they paid for their own gear with real money. And also, as though anyone besides a few plants of their posing as players are asking for that.
Hint: If you want people who know theyâre not ready for harder content (and you know it too) to be forced to do that content, youâre a control freak who just likes to complain about other people.
might have been mentioned, didnât read every post in the thread, sry/not sry.
Anyway: Easy solution would be to be able to break down previously upgraded gear for, lets say, half of the currency spent (or would have been spent if you get a 3/8 piece or whatever).
like the item breakdown in BFA
maybe for season 2
You seem confused by how the system works. Once you upgrade an item, you never need to pay crests upgrade that slot to that level again. This would literally be an infinite crest source if they added it in.
i am not confused in any way. and yeah, it would trivalize the system, which would solve the OP issues with them.
I am speaking about when you get an actual upgraded piece of gear for clarifyication, i suppose all the different uses of âupgradeâ are the confusion
Infinite crests would make it worthless to ever not max out a piece of gear infinitely, yes.
I donât know what this was attempting to clarify. The use of âactualâ didnât make the point clearer
Rather, keep the upgrades and bring back titanforging.
But make titanforging free levels to the upgrade system.
okay, so you have a chest piece that is max upgrade 8/8 at item level 606 or whatever⌠you get a new chest piece that caps out at 619 when 8/8. However when you get new chestpiece the piece it like 4/8 for example.
A dismantling system (similar to bfa material reclamation machine (canât recall name)) would allow you to get some of the crests spent on the ilevel 606 8/8 upgrade piece back.
Right, so, infinite crests.
There is no reason to be able to salvage crests and it would open up issues if you enabled it. You spend crests once per item tier, ever. Twice for rings&trinkets. After you upgrade to 619, every upgrade of that slot to 619 is 0 crests.
In Diablo Immoral, they had a system where you spent real money on gear upgrades, then later could transfer those upgrades to a higher level piece of gear.
I would say yes, it is meh, it approximately takes 3 months to fully upgrade your mythic pieces. Thatâs 90% of a season lol.
4 upgrades were ok, but 6 come on dude. stop wasting your high time on us.
