Actually, you keep farming the boss for mounts for the rest of the expansion so everyone who participated in the kill gets a mount.
That isnât exactly what I meant by progressing, but okay, I can see that. I like doing the achievements for mounts, donât care for the rare drop ones.
Just donât engage with the system, all it does is smooth the gap between difficulty.
Not talking rare drops, I mean the ones that dropped 1-per-kill and you had to kill the boss 25 times so everyone got a drop. Thatâs 6 months of weekly farming after you got Cutting Edge.
Oh those. Yeah those are cringe.
â6 months of weekly farmingâ. Um yeah no. The guild can gkick me if they want but I ainât doing all that. I dunno, depends on the mount I guess.
clearing raid is spending time with friends.
Brewa out here dropping nukes
I didnât cry when I didnât get the Tribute to Insanity mount and there was no way in hell I was doing it again 9 times lolol. To each their own.
Itâs great to be able to incrementally boost your strength and survivability and make some progress at your own pace. Agree with some others though that the currencies are a bit much.
Itâs literally been a massive part of why I canât take anything seriously in the game and am considering not playing anymore. Itâs too overwhelming, takes too long and requires way way too much attention and effort. Iâm all for grinding, wiping, having to work a little get a good set of gear but after doing even one piece at the crafter or upgrading one piece to fullâŚitâs just sucko city for the rest of the pieces. Takes all the fun out of itâŚoh by the wayâŚevery single second of time youâre spending on upgrading and crafting and all the hundreds of thousands of gold spent, will be completely useless in a few months tooâŚso, double screw your time.
It really does need to go back to the old ways. Was just simply betterâŚthereâs a reason so many more people played back then. It was just a better experience. Plain and simple.
The old ways⌠of Classic wow?
NoâŚbefore the multiple currencies and upgrading. I know some form of upgrading has been around for quite awhileâŚI really only messed around with the last few months of dragonflight and shadowlands lost me after a couple weeksâŚbut before the last two expansions I was pretty active. I really only remember a couple of times before that it was ever really extremely annoying to gear. Now itâs just absolutely dumbâŚyou donât even have to start doing it to realize itâs a bad system designed intentionally to waste your time and force timegating. Itâs almost abusive in its current state.
So⌠BFA I think? Azerite armor was highly praised or so I hear.
They should bring it back to how it used to be to where it was only upgraded from one single source and all the NPCs to do so were close by where you got the gear so that way you didnât have to look all over Google and search YT vids and look on WoW head where to find where to spend what on what.
It being a terribly restrictive system.
Exactly. The time spent not playing to run around and do all that is simply absurd. Some people probably have it on game and are extremely efficient at doing it. Iâm not âŚand I never will be. When I have to run back and forth to the ah and tab out or switch monitors to literally study what Iâm supposed to be doingâŚI very quickly lose interest. They can keep the side games.
You actually need to have the spread sheet for it because itâs impossible to remember the overlapping 4/8 break points that exist for no reason.
That Josh Lore guy who used to work for Blizzard already made a video about this and how crests make zero sense.
Crests make perfect sense.
Gear of previous track, overlaps with gear of next track.
IMO they should have the same upgrade system as MoP: Remix. Get your piece at max level and then earn tokens to upgrade it. Earn tokens according to what content and difficulty you are doing.
Donât mind the upgrade system but having adventurer, explorer, veteran etc. is to complex and it is just no good. MoP was much easier.
