When you focus your source of income on a 15 year old game it is called a bad business model.
Yes the state of the game is not healthy even before all of the recent news and I am not handing out a pass for COVID either. The simple fact is that since 9.0 these “content creators” have simply run out of content to create therefore clicks are trending downward. All of this faux-outrage tweets, video’s, podcasts etc are them trying to save their own butts and trying to jump on the “next” game and hopefully drag a few clicks with them or just an excuse to finally walk away from their platform.
Everytime I see or hear one of these champions of the people talk about how they can’t do it anymore because it just goes against their moral fiber I call bullshift. If they were really that outraged and spoke for the playerbase they would turn up the heat on Blizzard and make sure voices were heard and changes were made.
It has been said before, don’t go away mad, just go away. That always makes a louder statement.

Just wait for the IP to drop far enough for Ubisoft to buy it, close it all down, turn on pay to win shop vendors and zero patches. Happened to Westwood, but with EA
