Theres people doing 600-700k in dungeons overall. Meaning theyre breaking 1mil in some trash packs. Just because you dont witness it, doesnt mean it doesn’t happen.

I ran out of time in the first week, but i was doing 6s and 7s just fine in 490ish gear.

So you’d rather fail over and over and over than take 3 minutes to read what to expect?

Well, your lack of experience and skill is solely on you at this point. The tools are available in game so you dont have to watch 30 minute videos.

But then, guess you couldn’t come to the forums to complain and search for validation if you used the tools available and succeeded eh?

Watching videos of the dungeons can also help you out with knowing how to do mechanics properly! Make sure you watch updated versions of the instances though…cause some of the DF dungeons were tweaked.

That’s how I play, if I die, then I use it to troubleshoot. (If I think I need to.)

I’d like to see the logs for this for OVERALL DPS in dungeons for 499 ilevel.

Oh you were serious about the dungeon journal.

LMAO

Just remember, cuz because some people do 10s week one doesn’t mean everyone can

Heck, the majority of players won’t clear them ever

Is it possible to do base mythics with full 450-460 gear? Yes, heck I’ve done it while gearing alts with friends, do I expect everyone to be able to do that? Heck no

Start with whats comfortable for you, you’re playing your game, not the other people who were clearing 30+ mythics last season

some bosses just had hard hp checks where if you didnt have enough health to chunk through you died

others were doable pretty easily w1

now im not sweaty enough to say they were easy fresh out the gate w1 but once we got some gear and were like 495ish they werent bad

I mean…if it can help you understand what you’re doing wrong maybe it ain’t a bad idea since you don’t wanna watch a “30 min long video”.

I gotta be honest, some of the tank busters this season are just insta kills before certain gear levels

Nothing like a boss just regularly hitting you for 1.4m damage, more than what my HP was at the start of the season lmao

If it hasn’t already been explained, for the tree boss in AA the group should stack on the tank before the adds spawn and try and run in the same direction to avoid the swirleys. This helps get the adds spawned in a small area so the tank can grab them and everyone can AoE all of them.

Then when the medium tree is spawned / thrown there is a long cast the needs to be interrupted.

When the medium tree dies it leaves a big ground thing that everyone needs to get into.

It seems like a DPS check but it’s probably a mechanics check.

This is a great example of bad encounter design. There is almost NO in game indication that this is how you’re supposed to react to what’s going on. So this has to be learned outside of the game or from getting shown the secret handshake by someone.

Bunch of encounter in these dungeons where if a ranged or healer hands out in the back it really screws things up without a clear indication that’s what’s causing the problem.

I haven’t looked at the dungeon journal since legion. I wouldn’t say it does a very good job at explaining anything at least, to me.

And don’t act like I am the only one. I have heard since day 1 of them adding this feature their descriptions are trash. The only thing I use the dungeon journal for is what loot drops.

Sometimes it takes me a bit to decipher what it’s telling me. LOL

But if you need info on how bosses work or strats, feel free to ask here. I’ve seen some good ones posted in the past.

Sure, but youre willing to learn and get better. OP is walking away and not looking back because it didnt just fall over like over world stuff.

No one ever said at 499 ilvl. You said you doubted people breaking 300k damage in the content you run. The easier the content, the easier it is to up the damage for a lot of specs.

I always find it funny when people knock something theyve never tried. They even break it down by roles what to expect. And give a decent (albeit vague) overview of the entire encounter.

Some people just do not want to get better

Can probably find some logs with 500k+ dps (overall) for a dungeon at 499 ilvl.

Wouldn’t take long.

It was pretty early in the thread that this is not the case. So maybe you should put more effort into reading aswell.

Exactly. Stop actting like 1mil dps at this range is normal, troll.

If you’re referring to the stack mechanic, to clump the sprouts on the boss, I’m going to take exception with that.

You should always be stacked unless there’s a reason not to. It also makes the healer’s job easier.

People have it in their heads that they can and should be spread out all over the place for no reason. It’s a bad habit.

And I’m not talking about this boss, I’m talking about ALL THE TIME.

I would like to see one without a priest (PI) and an augvoker please.

kk ty

Same really interested!!

Edit: Heck and I play Spriest so I have PI!

Uhm… What?

Usually melee should be behind the mobs and ranged should be way out so they don’t spawn things in melee range. Everyone stacked up and face tanking is not what you always do in the game.

Unless it’s a pull with hoppers jumping out to ranged players. That’s another thing that confuses the inherent point of being ranged damage… STAYING AT RANGE.

But they have put in a lot of mechanics that force behaviors contrary to this.

I think it is the approach too.
Look I have a confession…. I failed many keys. Many of them on purpose to do what me/friends/guildies call limit testing where you do something above your skill/practice/experience to help you struggle and adapt.

If you’re pulling 170-210k you’re doing well, I’d say keep at it and focus on getting more of those done.

My biggest suggestion is to having people you know are willing to keep going to completion (assuming the boss isn’t a hard stop). Voice comms help a ton too
