Delete the entire open world, start all players at max level

The open world doesn’t matter. It’s a complete waste of time. All leveling content is a complete waste of time. So just start everyone at max level so they can do the content that actually matters. You should only have players hanging out in a city until they get to PVP, dungeon or raid.

That is basically what end game already is.

Ok then using the same logic get rid of the end game content, especially M+ and Mythic Raids. That doesn’t matter either. We’ve got follower dungeons, delves and story mode raids, what else do we need?

Just have players hang out in lobbies like in CoD.

I have a game just for you – actually 2 of them! Fellowship and Wayfinder.

That sounds terrible. If I wanted to play a lobby type game I would. I like MMOs and their open worlds full of quests and areas to explore.

Mind you it prolly doesn’t matter since this post is likely just meant to troll, but still.

What if theyre setting up the lore to turn wow into a lobby style game? After the void invasion, azeroth will be nothing but isolated fragments (lobbies) floating in the void.

Actually, Bro I go back to the old expansions for questing.

I love the open world!
I meant like 8 days ago you made a suggestion to make us spend MORE time in the open world:

And what of us roleplayers who actually like the open-world?

I don’t think it’s a good idea. Many players enjoy exploring old maps and doing quests.

I’m really frustrated with some players.

Instance spamming is a player choice.

I’d blame story but story over the years has had wth moments to it.

Night elf start, Old girl has us feel bad because a satyr tricked us to kill like 9 animals. If rng liked you.

Yes I feel bad night elf lady. Now excuse me as go kill 100 cats, 100 spiders and 100 owls for food and skins for fun and profit. . The satyr didn’t trick me, I was killing this crap anyway. Its classic wow. 30 owl eggs is 30 cooking levels. If it takes 100 owls, so be it.

Go one step further. Make WoW an idle game. It plays itself. You just sit back and watch or go do something else.

Actually, why not just have new character fully BIS on creation and all trophies earned as soon as you login to the game.

What many people don’t realize is that the open world was THE game. Its what made WoW so popular. Being a part of something larger than yourself. Inhabiting a world with thousands of other players. Unexpected interactions, challenges, awkward moments all simple on their own but together added up to a full and varied experience. Retail now is a shadow of its former greatness. It’s practically a lobby game already with Dornagal being said lobby and any meaningful gameplay accessed through a menu.

Correct. But only when one closes their eyes to it. Blindy McDeletethis. :slightly_smiling_face:

The open world is there predominantly for new players to learn their character…so you know how to do end content.

So this is kinda a reaction thread to that other one?

I just looked up the game Fellowship and it looks like a game designed completely around M+.

It’s Thursday, not Sunday.

I’ve been talking about how some elements of the open world content are extremely lacking and a lot of people have been responding saying that changes to fix that content would inconvenience the players who only want to power level to max and play end game content with their friends.
