That is actually evidence of exactly that. Stunning.

Of course it was, while not canonically stated by any official means, they leave room for the reader to interpret however they like for their own personal joy.

I can appreciate that they did that and likewise with Chromie’s own statement, you can interpret it in whatever way “suits” you. I personally would prefer to believe that Chronormu is just a very feminine Dragon or whatever.

So where’s their story?

“I want to be half-reptile irl, where the hell is my inclusion?^#!&&*”

Give me a canon character that directly states “On all levels except the physical, I am a Dragon. Rawr!”

Breh it’s a time traveling dragon shape shifter that was hyper evolved, I don’t think anybody really thought it was a trans thing.

I said something in another thread about Chromie and I stated something about using a small diminutive form IE Fem Gnome to be approachable and honestly out of the way of his kin. though the name did initally made me think he was a gal. knowing how the dragon naming conventions work Mu and Mi for the Bronze dragons.

…I’unno. Last I checked Chromie was intensely popular, so that’d be why she gets attention.

He never was, he just chose a female Gnome as his visage. Then they changed it to he was female all along and females can have names like that. Now he is back to being a male that chose a female Gnome visage. I mean if you ever talked to Chromie you know how eccentric he is so it fits his character.

It is officially stated that the pronouns have changed. It is seen throughout the story. That is definitely official.

I didn’t even know who he was until I came across the trans discussions on the forum years ago. And even then after I continued to see him as just a male Dragon that represented his personality with a ditzy female gnome.

Maybe Blizzard’s just saying females fit that trope so perhaps it’s not all unicorns and butterflies after all. In the end Dragons pick bizarre visages as well. I mean Alexstrasza was a frickin tree once, doesn’t mean she identifies as a tree.

Either way I’m not here to rain on anybody’s parade, if you’re happy with the idea that Chronormu is trans then by all means. But I’m not particularly partial to it as for years I’ve stuck with him just being very feminine.

People grasping at straws or being willfully ignorant to avoid calling Chromie a trans character. Y’all are ridiculous.

This is awesome. I didn’t find the tweets so I didn’t confirm on my end, but it made me smile. People should be happy, no matter how that manifests itself. Good job Steve.

Just saw the screenshot above. Love it. Straight white male here btw…let people be who they want to be.

I’m not gonna lie. The suspension of disbelief required to come to that conclusion reminds me of the people who will see two people of the same gender kiss as they walk arm in arm down the street and say “Wow, what close friends!”

…I’unno dude, was there some pragmatic necessity that forced her to take that form or did she take it just because she liked the idea? Because if it’s the latter she might just have a special thing for being a tree. We ARE talking about actual shapeshifters in a world where tree people are a thing, after all.

Yes chromie is confirmed first trans character in WoW.

If you care and it makes you angry, maybe seek some professional help because it doesn’t matter and your obsession with gender/sexuality is extremely bizarre and unhealthy.

Does that orc in Caverns of Time who literally got body swapped count? I can’t remember if she or Chromie came first.
