Meanwhile Iâd feel deeply uncomfortable being a boy, or anything other than human, for any length of time. Some of our genders are more fluid/flexible than others.
Did you play Legion? You canât kill Chromie. Itâs literally impossible. Sue just goes back fifteen minutes before over and over until she knows your WHOLE plan and undoes it and you.
I think itâs only officially trans if Chronormu changes his name to a female/feminine one. Since he continues to like having the male nomenclature for his flight even though itâs not any kind of soul-binding thing and can be changed in a second, I will stand by my opinion that he is not trans.
But I can still believe that heâs just very feminine.
You see what you want to see, I suppose. It would be helpful to be able to recognize when the actual evidence does or doesnât support your reading though, and in this case it just doesnât.
A dragon making a very deliberate choice to present to others as a female gnome is about as strong of evidence as youâre going to get without it being explicitly stated to you. There is zero reason to do that and in fact a great many reasons not to unless they are 1) either Gender Fluid or Trans, or 2) Some kind of psycho mastermind with important reasons for making that choice that we just donât know of yet.
Honestly, I do not think dragons can truly be âtrans.â
If we were referring to a regular human/oid, however, they would only be âofficiallyâ trans if they outright claim to be.
Names and pronouns are just words at the end of the day. A man could use a âfemaleâ name and still be a man.
Itâs unlikely that a completely straight, cis man would want to use she/her in addition to he/him, but if so? Still not necessarily trans.
Edit: That said, you can assume whatever you want about a fictional character, at the end of the day.
A character being perceived as trans hurts no one.
It doesnât get much more canon than a bluepost on the official forums being like, âHereâs the new story that we wrote that is by our lead story developer on our websiteâ.
Yes well, the dragons also choose to be half-elves and other half races and represent themselves this way with their visage form. This doesnât mean they want to be half-breeds or be biologically mixed.
Back in my fandom days, they used to call something like this âWord of Godâ - confirmation and clarification of the intent directly from the creator of the show/game/whatevs.
